Here's something I haven't seen reported about James Talarico that should tell you everything you need to know about the "moderate" Democratic Party. THIS is what he said about abortion during a sermon: "The disagreement about the legality of abortion IS NOT a disagreement about life. It's a disagreement about personhood. No one disagrees that an embryo is biologically alive. We each have trillions of living organisms inside of us right now. So the question is, is an embryo a legal person whose rights trump those of a woman? The only way we can allow the rights of an embryo to trump the rights of a woman is if we believe a woman is not a full person... Being Christian and being pro-choice are absolutely consistent because Christianity is a feminist religion." So essentially, 'Jesus believes your baby should have the same rights as a tapeworm living in your body. And if you disagree, you're helping the patriarchy enslave women.' This is the MODERATE Democratic platform?!

The "my body, my choice" argument is not even a valid one because it’s not your body; it's somebody else's. From the moment of conception, there's new DNA. Not the mother's. A brand-new human being. So if it's not your DNA, and it's not your body, it's murder. And the law already backs this up. Kill a pregnant mom, and you're not charged with one murder. You're charged with TWO. Abortion is praised as a "choice." But it's a choice to MURDER. And no matter how hard you play semantics, that's just a fact.
