Because you did not understand what you saw. The prosecution only put on the evidence needed to prove a crime happened. They did not need all the evidence presented because the defense must stipulate all the evidence in the indictment was correct . That is a legal admission

This is the simplest way to understand square roots… and somehow most of us were never taught it. Instead of just memorizing that the square root of 9 is 3 because “3 times 3 equals 9,” this guy shows it visually. He draws dots in the shape of a square and explains that the square root is simply the length of one side of that square. Why didn’t they teach it like this when we were in school? It makes so much more sense when you can actually see it. Would you have understood square roots better if they were taught this way?

The investigation continued and a trial would have taken place if his accusers had testified or if evidence had been found for the state to indict him. The accusers had the opportunity to BOTH receive money and pursue criminal charges, but chose not to. He settled the civil case because it was scheduled before the criminal one, which violated his Fifth Amendment rights. The Chandlers admitted in their book that they intentionally created this situation to pressure him into settling. Regardless, this is not relevant to the criminal case itself.
