Why Max Verstappen is the rightful champion of 2021 Apart from the fact that he had: - the most race wins - the most lap leads - the most podiums - the most poles Max also had a lot of bad luck. Here are 3 major bad luck moments where it was not his fault and he lost valuable points: - Baku 2021: left-rear tire failure. Max was winning it for sure and also had the fastest lap= missed 26 points. - Silverstone 2021: Max was the fastest the whole weekend and missed at least 25 points. - Hungary 2021: with half a car, 70 laps long, Max finished 9th = 2 points.
