It was a bad read & play call. He got to locate the safety & know he's covering the field. Which means he needs to release the back to the flat or come back to the trips side after looking to the single side.

People can make all the thinkpieces they want but the truth is simple. The safety overtop is why Beck didn’t let loose If Marion sees the ball and goes up, at worst it’s an incompletion

Beck’s arm is not weak. And folks will see that if they put down the hate the have for the person he has been portrayed. Which may or may not even be true. Beck can make that throw. Something was not jiving between QB and WR. And if folks weren’t lazy they would go back and see he typically over threw when going deep. Coach, thanks for all your breakdowns.

And coach he didnt need to be Greedy right there he hadn't thrown it deep ALL NIGHT LONG. Just keep making 1st downs the clock stops on every 1st down. Don't know if we would've scored but to throw that deep pass right there was just a bad idea to me

@HoosierMaximus Yeah I hear what you're saying. He def CAN make the throw. But I think he saw the safety and was trying to fit it in there. I don't think he just short-armed it. The pass didn't have a chance either way. It was just really well covered by IU.

He could’ve made the throw but in your last video you said “it’s a 45 yard throw, he can’t make that”. That’s everyone’s issue. It’s not a 45 yard throw when it’s from the far hash.

Coach, a pass like that is only acceptable with 10 seconds on the clock or less, not 51 seconds.

I don't have a problem saying Beck CAN make that throw, I don't even completely put it on Beck, Keelan Marion never turned to look. But Carson left it short when the DB was trailing. Would have been a tough catch.

That play is what it is. What was criminal is why we didn’t have a RB come out the backfield. That would’ve been open all game.

Something you didn't take into consideration, on the same drive Carson Beck got knocked out plus on the play of the interception our OL player McCoy on the left completely missed his tackle putting extra pressure on Beck.

At the end of the day all 3 losses ended with a Carson Beck interception. God bless that man for taking us as far as his talents allowed but you can't have your Qb doing that in the big moments

What this shows me is that this is a play that Miami runs a lot. Miami didn’t break tendencies in this game. They stayed true to the play they ran in certain situations. This diff in the game is the 4th & 5 QB draw imo. Indiana broke a tendency and got points.

Difference was in the routes & coverage- Toney’s throw #2 receiver in flat occupies defender one on one deep coverage Indiana throw vs 2 deep no #2 threat in flat - corner runs with WR safety coverage over top - you do not make that throw - NFL guys make that throw

One against Louisville is 1 high man coverage and against Indiana it’s 3x1 against cover 2 with no back out the flats totally different throws. Eli manning to manningham Super Bowl against patriots is comparable and Eli put it in a bucket on the sideline

The correct throw is still CJ on the right sideline. Take your 15 yards, step out of bounds and stop the clock.

Of course he could’ve/should’ve thrown it further. Your whole point in the last video was that he missed a short (-30 yd) easy throw, which it clearly was not. He needed 60 yards in the air. But yes. Obviously it was a bad throw. What are we doing here?

Carson has a strong arm. I am guessing it is coping to say otherwise. He made a bad read on the play and the throw was short on the play. Arm strength is not his issue. Think he is top 3 QB in the draft unless he bombs the interview.
