@MDCP_Journal This is also what my case of toxic encephalitis and drug induced Parkinsonism looked like. Onset over a few weeks and then worsened badly over months as the medication reaction was presumed to be autoimmune encephalitis, so I was wrongly kept on the drug causing it (prednisone).

Can you identify an oculogyric crisis? @ChristosGanos and colleagues teach us about the intriguing possibility that the rolling eyes we frequently see after administration of a drug, may be localized to a brain lesion network associated with a brain dopaminergic transcriptomic signature. Read about it in a new paper Brain. Key Points: - Oculogyric crises what are they? Acute episodes sustained, typically upward, conjugate deviation of the eyes. - Common cause? Acute D2-dopamine receptor blockade by a drug. - The authors used data from 14 previously reported cases of lesion-induced oculogyric crises and employed' lesion network mapping' to search for shared connections. - What was the common network? Basal ganglia, thalamic, brainstem nuclei and cerebellum. - A look at the gene expression profiles showed spatial overlap specifically with the gene coding for dopamine receptor type 2 (DRD2). - The very cool part: spatial overlap with DRD2 and DRD3 gene expression seemed to be 'specific to brain lesions associated with oculogyric crises when contrasted to lesions that led to other movement disorders.' My take: I love the use of multiple modalities to chase down a common neural network for oculogyric crises. We should keep in mind that these were cases associated with brain lesions, and as we all contribute by reporting more cases and sharing their MRI scans we will likely further refine our understanding of the network. For clinicians when you see this, look down that medication list for the 'dopamine blocker' as your first step in diagnosis. This video by Elan Louis provides a nice illustration of oculogyric crisis to help you to identify them in your practice. #Parkinsons #oculogyric

Do you remember the case of the 'frozen addict' from recreational drug use (MPTP). Is there a 'new frozen addict syndrome' caused by methcathione (ephedrone). YES. This psychostimulant leads to release of brain catecholamines. Check out this case and video by Thayler and Gurevitch which responded to amantadine and check out the link to manganese. Key points: - Methcathione (ephedrone) can be used as a recreational drug and use has been documented in Eastern Europe and other world locations. - This chemical is synthesized by oxidation of ephedrine or pseudoephedrine w/potassium permanganate. - It is usually given IV and the 'parkinsonism' is thought to be caused by manganese. - It is unlike the MPTP frozen addict as in this case levodopa does not work to treat. - The authors point out that the syndrome tends to be more symmetrical than in idiopathic PD; the clinician should look for bradykinesia, dystonia, and gait impairment. - Check out this 41 year old case w/ a normal flurodopa PET and an abnormal MRI. - He was treated with a 5-day course of IV amantadine followed by oral amantadine. My take: It is humbling to think about the history of a recreational drug which provided one of our best overall animal models of PD (the MPTP model). Now we are observing another form of recreational drug induced parkinsonism, and this one seems to be related to manganese. It is interesting in this case to observe the response to IV and oral amantadine; which as a therapy has multiple mechanisms of action including on dopamine, acetlycholine and glutamate pathways. In the USA, we have not used IV amantadine so this will be a new trick for us. One important aspect of this case was that the clinicians resisted the urge to 'dismiss the person' as an addict or as functional case. Similar to Bill Langston's experience with the MPTP frozen addict, these authors persisted, made the diagnosis and designed and implemented a treatment. BRAVO. Remember, we will all (one day) come down with a disease or diseases and Fortuna est caeca; Fortune is blind. #Parkinsons #manganese #methcathione #ephedrone

Can you pick out who has Parkinson's disease from the video using the 'whistle-smile' reflex? Maybe? Frederic Hanes described this sign in 1943. Giulia Paparella and colleagues revisit the observation in a trial of 34 Parkinson's folks versus 34 healthy controls in Movement Disorders Clinical Practice. Key Points: - When healthy individuals are prompted to whistle during a medical examination, 'they typically comply and subsequently smile.' - In Parkinson's 'they execute the whistle but often fail to produce an immediate smile.' - In their study they showed a sensitivity of 76% and a specificity of 65% for the sign. My take: It is hard to believe that there are only two papers on this sign published since 1943. Behavioral neurologists have long been fascinated by spontaneous smiling versus posed and elicited smiling in Parkinson's disease. Though the sensitivity and specificity are too low to become a biomarker, this is a sign neurologists can keep in their pockets for teaching. Researchers may also consider studying this phenomenon with functional imaging as the limbic-motor newtowrk is fascinating and we have also observed DBS induced smiling. The brain is a fascinating supercomputer and frankly, we do not know what we do not know. Ecce signum – behold the sign of the smile in Parkinson's. #Parkinsons Smiles induced by DBS: Spontaneous and posed smiles in Parkinson: Motor cortex and facial smiling in primates by Morecraft: #Parkinsons #smilefest2024 #smile

Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong Unveils the Mechanism of Vaccine & COVID-Induced Autoimmunity and Announces a Potential Path to Treatment A groundbreaking explanation from Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong on how COVID-19 and its vaccines can trigger autoimmune issues, and the pioneering science being deployed to reverse the damage. 1/ The fundamental problem, as detailed by Dr. Soon-Shiong, is that current vaccines do not clear the virus. They may block initial infection, but the virus can still enter cells, leading to a persistent and hidden problem. 2/ This persistence is now scientifically proven. Research funded by Dr. Soon-Shiong at UCSF, and confirmed by Harvard, shows the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein can linger in the body's cells and even circulate in the bloodstream long after the initial infection or vaccination. 3/ This creates a perfect storm. The body recognizes this persistent spike protein—an "abnormal" antigen—as a threat and mounts a continuous immune response, creating antibodies that can mistakenly attack the body's own tissues. This is the onset of autoimmune disease. 4/ Dr. Soon-Shiong identifies a "triple whammy" that paves the way for severe long-term health issues: • Persistence of the spike protein & viral RNA. • Chronic inflammation from the constant immune response. • Loss of P53, a critical guardian protein that protects against cancer. 5/ This combination is a prelude not only to autoimmune disorders but also to cancer and neurological symptoms like brain fog. It is the core pathology behind Long COVID and post-vaccine syndrome. 6/ But there is hope. The answer, he states, is not to suppress the immune system further, but to empower it. The solution lies in upregulating the body's natural assassins—NK cells and T cells—to finally seek out and clear the body of these infected, spike-protein-producing cells. 7/ To this end, Dr. Soon-Shiong announces a major clinical trial opening within weeks. This trial will focus on treating Long COVID by targeting and eliminating the persistent viral reservoir, offering a potential cure for those suffering from post-COVID and post-vaccine autoimmune conditions. This is not just management. This is the science of clearance and restoration.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp says the left and right are converging: "The functional allies of our adversaries now, who claim to want these progressive things—both far-right and far-left, which are actually structurally very similar—are helping to fight for structures that would not include anyone like them." "I want a society where it is: the best people succeed." "There's a right of free speech, whether you like the person or not." "There's a right of privacy, whether you like the person or not." "There's a right to put checks on the government, whether they like you or not." "The people who are working the hardest to destroy those concepts, and are the most effective in destroying those concepts, call themselves progressive. They're not progressive. "Or they call themselves, super far right. They're not even right-wing." "The people on the far left, and the people I hung out with in the Frankfurt School, which was left of center of where I was—true progressives—would be somewhat not amused to know that the actual philosophical background of most modern non-progressive progressives is not Marx, it's Heidegger." "They're not actually left-wing. They're actually asking for things that are classically right-wing." "What are those things? They're asking for: we all get to be the same. We're all defined by who we are, by how we were born, or what we impute ourselves to be. There are only rights for a sector of people. The rights do not apply to people who are not like us because of wealth or because they think differently, and that we want a society that essentially looks communal." "These are like prototypical, non-progressive, classically right-wing thoughts just reapplied to people who call themselves progressive." "That's the society that Palantir and I are effectively working against." "By giving people more sovereignty, whether they believe it or not, protecting people from terrorism with civil liberties, by making businesses wealthier and better, where the businesses keep their actual alpha, and by helping Ukraine, Israel, and America establish a dominant position." 🚨ZELENSKYY REPEATED ONE MORE TIME THAT UKRAINE WILL NOT JOIN TRUMP’S BOARD OF PEACE, BECAUSE THERE IS NO PEACE WITH RUSSIA AT THIS POINT Q: You said that Putin is a terrorist and a war criminal, does he belong on something called a board of peace in your view? ZELENSKYY: Look, this is the initiative of President Trump. It's not my initiative. I'm not the president of the United States. We've been invited. To be honest with you, in the 20 points plan, when we spoke about security guarantees and how to monitor one of the important first steps like a ceasefire, the American side proposed that they will need partners who will monitor with the United States, and it can be like council of peace, and it will be two sides of the war. It means Russians and Ukrainians because we are on the contact line, we have to monitor, yes, by drones and technology issues, and they said it will be also Americans and some other Europeans. I mean, it's not the news about this council for me. I didn't know how it will be, that it will be in Davos, and whom President Trump will involve or propose invitation. I didn't know. It's up to him. But I said that for us, it's understandable that we will be in this board when the war will end. Now with Russians, we are enemies. Belarussia is allie of Russians. We can't be with them. And it's already in the package, in the 20 points plan. So it will work, I think so, it will work with monitor mission only after the war will end. Maybe there are some others issues like Gaza. I'm not talking about us to be involved in Gaza and other questions. So we are only speaking about these partners who will monitor ceasefire and security guarantees.

🚨 SHOCKING MEDICAL TWIST: Doctors diagnosed a man with a brain tumor… until they realized his head was packed with WORMS. A 60-year-old man showed up with progressive headaches and personality changes. Scans looked like classic metastatic brain cancer. Case closed… right? Wrong. High-resolution MRI revealed the “tumors” were actually fluid-filled cysts loaded with the larvae of Taenia solium — tapeworm. Neurocysticercosis, not cancer. And it’s not an isolated nightmare. A woman seeking help for memory problems and depression had surgeons pull a live, wriggling 8 cm worm straight out of her brain. Another family described “spaghetti-like worms” being extracted from a lung during what was supposed to be lymphoma surgery. Parasites are master mimics. They can perfectly imitate brain tumors, cancers, neurological disorders, autoimmune conditions, and more — while the real invader quietly does damage. This is critical: In many modern medical schools (especially in non-endemic areas), ruling out parasites is no longer a routine first step in the differential diagnosis. Symptoms get labeled as something else, treatments miss the mark, and patients suffer longer. You have to be your own best advocate. If something feels off and the standard answers aren’t working, ask to be tested for parasites. Demand the right imaging, stool tests, blood work, or specialist referral. Your body may be fighting an uninvited guest that mainstream protocols overlook. Real cases. Real worms. Real reason to stay alert.🪱

EPSTEIN, INTELLIGENCE, & THE ELITE. BLACKMAIL IS MORE POWERFUL THAN PROSECUTION. Blackmail is the weapon of choice for intelligence agencies because of its vast and infinite amount of control. Once you have it, it never goes away, and can control an individual for life. A dystopian robotic-like system, compromised and controlled interchangeable politicians and citizens in all aspects of society that make our world go round, pushing legislation and looking the other way when needed, all controlled by fear, aka, blackmail. This is why it must be eradicated from our system, government, and control mechanisms. We will never have a true honest system and move forward in a positive direction because of the "Hidden Hand in control." The main factor in which the Epstein list or certain information will not be exposed is because of it's connections and on going operations with our intelligence agencies and others. What we wanted was a list of the clients of Epstein because everyone knows there were hundreds of them and thousands of victims and videos which implicate very important people. What we want is accountability and consequences for the ones involved and justice for the victims. Why does it always have to be about the elite? This should be about the lives that were destroyed by the elite and intelligence agencies. If you go through the evidence and testimonies of the victims, you can easily find the people involved and associated with Epstein. Just because you think it's over doesn't mean it is. The information and comments made over the last couple months and the new video that was released really doesn't prove anything but loudly exposes a cover up operation. It seems almost intentionally done that way to highlight certain individuals or the matter in general in a way that will still don't fully understand yet. Everything was sloppy and very uncoordinated and points to something bigger happening. After all the time, promises, posts, and information dropped over the years paints a picture of a bigger operation at play. This is not just a simple one layered situation, and I don't see people changing their tone and promises made over years, simply overnight. There are many theories at the current moment, but one, logical, in particular one is that the blackmail is now being used against the deep state. There are still individuals within the administration that are compromised and are not working for, but against the trump administration and might also be apart of why this concluded this way. We will still continue to fight for justice no matter what and over the next few weeks we will learn more and understand the bigger picture because this isn't over yet and their are still thousands of kids that we need to save. There is a reason for everything transpiring, with layers, optics, and timing procuring for that specific reason in order to complete the original objective, which was to destroy the deep state cabal and shatter it into a million pieces, and we're not stopping until we do. I know right now is difficult but there is more to this story, and when the time is right, it will be exposed. We have to stick together and help one another and continue to fight this fight together. Whoever the enemy turns out to be. Stay strong, have faith and Godspeed.

Milestone! We (robotic arms for gadgets assembly) finished the first commercial order, which brought the first revenue. Here are some learnings from this: The customer was a smart toy manufacturer. The task was to add a heatsink to Raspberry Pi. We received parts from them and returned the assembled modules back. Currently, it's done by teleoperation. Later it will be done by a remote employee via the Internet. Then it will be automated action by action, reducing the operator's time on this and making the task profitable. ps. If you have an assembly task that we can do for you asynchronically - leave a comment below. Learning 1. It's possible! This task which is usually done by the human arm with 5 fingers can be done with a two-finger gripper with the addition of a couple of simple tooling. The task was not simplified. We peeled off thin films from stickers, unpacked paper boxes, moved PCB boards full of components, etc. And no unsolvable problems have been encountered yet. Challenges: 1) The paper box shifted during the opening Solved with the plastic walls that you can lean against 2) Heat pad, stuck to the gripper instead of heat sync. Can be solved by gripper with a pump, but this time solved with the patience of the operator 3) The film on the pad is very thin. Turned out that sub-millimeter arm precision is enough to peel it off with just a regular gripper. 4) The working area has not enough space. You'll only know this by doing real tasks in bulk. This could be solved by an extra pair of long arms, but in this case, solved with the patience of the operator. I think that in the end, we will have 5-10 types of universal tooling and 5-10 types of grippers to solve almost all the problems in such assembly tasks. Learning 2. It's slow. It took 5 times more time, than doing it with human hands. But the good news is there's a lot of room for improvement. We now have specific “time for task” metrics, which we will decrease with iterations. The main reasons for slowness: 1) To rotate the gripper to a steep angle you are forced to control one robot arm with two hands instead of using both arms. We can fix this by just making more room for rotations. 2) Grabbing PCB board with two arms is hard. A slight difference in rotation can break the board, and it's hard to control these angles visually. To solve this, the best way is to use force feedback so you can feel the pressure applied to the item. 3) Accuracy and steadiness is still can be improved We will try a metal version and double the motors to do this. 4) It is physically difficult for the human hands to move with such precision To solve this, we will add a pad for the hands like in surgical robots Learning 3. It's a good business model The "Factory in the cloud" is a good business model for this stage. You send us parts and we send back assembled modules. Currently, it's more convenient than sending a robot to your place, as we can iterate/fix the robot quickly and utilize it 100% of the time. When we polish the set-up over time - we can send robots to your place. So if we can assemble something for you in the USA with Chinese prices by using modern automation - leave a comment below.

American Farmer Heads Into The Grocery Store To Warn Americans About What You’re Eating Popular Name Brand Foods Contain In Their Ingredients Antibiotics Only Available By Prescription Right Alongside “Wood Fibers” “This is a farm boy. We're in a grocery store today to look up some things that might be or may not be in your foods. One of them is called natamycin. Know what that is? That is a medicine by prescription, and it's in a lot of your foods. And I'll take you and show you what what's going on here. See that brand name right there? You flip this over. If you look real close, you can see it. See it? Sure is. That is a medicine by prescription. It is in a great many of shredded cheeses. They use, if you can see here on this list, you will be able to see that it has Natamycin in that. See that brand name? America's favorite. Let's see what it has to offer. Lookie right there. Natamycin. Wonder what's up with that. And for those of you that's on a diet and you think eating protein products like these breakfast sausage winners are good for you, well, let's take a look at that. How about that crap? Oh my gosh. Now that may not seem like much to you, but that nadamycin, well, that's an antifungus medicine by prescription. Yep. It's for your eyes a lot of times. Now they're putting it in our food right along with wood cellulose products. Yep. When you see cellulose, you know you're getting wood fibers. And what they're using that for is a preservative, and they're using that as an anti caking and anti fungus. They're putting antibiotics right in your food. The Science of Fasting - 2012 Documentary There is a reason so many religions and cultures across the world advocate for fasting to resolve health issues, and think every human being on earth should fast intermittently to help repair and detoxify themselves in this incredibly toxic world where we are being inundated from every vector. Obviously fasting can be detrimental if done excessively and the nutrition is inadequate in between fasting stints, but overall if done right, it's so obviously a great tool for our health that we should all take advantage of. It can by intermittent fasting with 18/6 or 16/8 schedules, it can be 1-2 days a month, it can be 1 week every 6 months, or whatever works best for your individual situation and health goals, but we should all be doing a little bit of fasting every now and again. Considering a large portion of the US is brutally addicted to food and severely overweight and unhealthy with countless diseases and ailments, we should be investing in fasting clinics such as the one shown in this documentary to help them break the addiction and get healthy. Robert F. Kennedy Jr has discussed detox clinics for drug abuse, and hope he can consider the same for obesity and chronic disease with fasting clinics. Many people are not disciplined and strong enough to not eat at home for a few days because of all the temptation, but if they had a place to stay with rules and restrictions, they could learn that discipline and then do it on their own. For anyone that thinks it's dangerous to fast for a long period of time, you should lookup the story of the scottish man back in 1965 who was over 450lbs and fasted for a year straight. If you have body fat on you, you can fast until it's gone, as long as you have water to drink.

The only thing worse than Homeopathy? Scientists on the internet without any knowledge on clinical medical practice, selling supplements that they endorse, using misinformation masquerading as "solid peer reviewed science." Check this video out, when Huberman bullshits everyone in just half a minute on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. Before I go on, please remember this The Bullshit Asymmetry Principle, also known as Brandolini’s Law, states that the amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it. Which means, I have to put extra effort just to debunk the 36 seconds of that podcast. First, a little about sleep disorders Sleep disorders are of different types and due to different causes. The diagnosis is simply not "I can't sleep" and so here, take this sleep cocktail. Many patients come with sleep disorders that are associated with other conditions. For example, cirrhosis patients have sleep disorders that require management with ammonia lowering therapies and severe cases can only be reversed with a liver transplant. Patients with alcohol use disorders have sleep disorders that require management with de-addiction therapies along with sedatives. Sleep disorders in the ICU set up has different causes. People with mental health disorders have associated sleep disorders. Certain sleep disorders have no identifiable causes and are called "idiopathic." Which means, coming on a podcast and blindly giving out a "sleep cocktail" to millions of viewers, who may be suffering from a sleep disorder which has an as yet unidentified cause, is one of the most foolish things one can do. And Huberman, not being an actual clinical doctor, makes that exact mistake. Huberman claims (very generally and casually), melatonin helps you to go to sleep, but does not maintain sleep. But "solid peer reviewed" studies have much more to say about melatonin. Melatonin improved sleep onset latency and total sleep time in children/adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders. Melatonin also improved and sleep onset latency and total sleep time in adults with delayed sleep phase disorder. Treatment with melatonin has positive effects on sleep quality in adults with respiratory diseases, metabolic disorders, primary sleep disorders, not with mental disorders, neurodegenerative diseases and other diseases. This meta-analysis demonstrated that melatonin decreases sleep onset latency, increases total sleep time and improves overall sleep quality. Another large meta-analysis showed that melatonin dosing and timing matters: for circadian phase advancement, an earlier time and smaller dose, but for sleep quality/consolidation a larger and later dose seemed appropriate. See here: So melatonin does increase total sleep time, total sleep quality and reduces time to sleep and has beneficial effects in specific groups of patients. Now the "solid peer reviewed studies" on the cocktail - which Huberman claims on three supplements - magnesium threonate, apigenin and L-theanine. Unfortunately, such "solid peer-reviewed papers" DO NOT EXIST. Lets see. Magnesium supplements: First of all, there is no conclusive evidence that magnesium, dietary or supplemented has any actual effect on sleep. Randomized clinical trials showed an uncertain association between magnesium supplementation and sleep disorders. See here: Forget sleep, magnesium has absolutely no evidence for involvement even in mood disorders. See here: This review confirms that the quality of literature is substandard for physicians to make well-informed recommendations on usage of oral magnesium for older adults with insomnia. See here: Apigenin (from Chamomille): The possible sleep inducing effects of apigenin is still speculative. There are absolutely no solid peer reviewed studies or evidence for benefits of apigenin in sleep as Huberman claims. See here: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled pilot trial showed that chamomille DID NOT have conclusive effects on sleep. See here: Even better, a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized trials and quasi-randomized trials showed that there was very little evidence to show effect of chamomille on insomnia. See here: L-theanine supplements: There is absolutely NO study or data to suggest that L-theanine is useful for sleep induction, improving sleep quality or increasing total sleep time. The only studies that are of "better quality" shows that L-theanine "maybe" useful in reducing anxiety/ stress levels due to caffeine at night. See here and here The only other "study" on L-theanine which was done on mice and not humans showed effects only on brain related biomarkers and were not applicable in the clinical sense to humans - And coming to SOLID EVIDENCE on the "Huberman cocktail" - there is absolutely nothing in published literature to confirm that it works and there is no convincing mode of action of this cocktail in humans. A large systematic review and meta-analysis showed that Cognitive-Behavior Therapy for Insomnia was the best and not some random supplements proclaimed on a podcast by half-baked scientists who are full time supplement sellers. See here: There are basic scientists, with no or half-baked clinical practice knowledge, trying to sell you a bunch of useless supplements that they endorse for a paid-commission, using "science-sounding" words without any practical, rational or logical meaning; and push untested and unregulated therapies that are NEVER recommended, approved or promoted by any active, medical, scientific clinical societies worldwide. They are worse than pseudoscience peddlers. Be aware of where you find your health information. There is pseudoscience, but then there is also another terrible type of misinformation: BAD SCIENCE.

I shared a video from Nick Freitas yesterday about how to encourage and reach young men. You should check it out if you didn’t see it. Now, here is a clip that shows how to repel and discourage young men. This is so frustrating, Sean DeMars and Neil Shenvi. Leaving aside the whole “woke right” thing, whatever. You acknowledge that the Left has total cultural control. Then you mock the idea that white men are systemically discriminated against in our culture, or that we live in an effeminate gynocracy. What do you think the Left does with its total cultural control? You mock young men by claiming that their discrimination has no basis in reality, but has to be understood via some “gnostic” higher knowledge. This is not fair. We are starting to get more and more hard data on this issue. I will admit that there is an element of “look around, this should be obvious.” It should be, and you’re really sticking your head in the sand to deny these things. But being on the Right is to believe in God’s created reality. It’s not about “lived experience,” it’s about what is actually true. White men are being discriminated against in this culture, and the West has been feminized radically in the last 60 years. The biggest problem with the woke was always that they were wrong, beyond even their philosophical system. It wasn’t merely that they were claiming to be oppressed, but it was that this claim was wrong. "This argument sounds like that argument" is just so lazy when one was factually wrong, and one is factually right. The claims of the Right are correct in general. But at the end of the day, good luck crapping on young men like this. We'll see how that works out for you. I won’t be joining you.
