The amount of police officers that don't understand the concept of public property is staggering

Let me say this again for the cheap seats, "cops are not your friends" Yes, be lawful and orderly to cops, but don't think for a minute that they aren't all petty tyrants just itching to stomp people they think are disrespecting them.

Sue @TxDPS and every one of the officers individually. Agree to a 0 dollar settlement with TxDPS if every officer involved is decertified and fired. That way they can't work as LEO in the state anywhere. If they don't settle, destroy them.

@GregAbbott_TX @KenPaxtonTX - why is TXDPS not allowing free speech? These officers are not obeying the law at all.

Call me fucking crazy but Police Officers should be able to speak unbroken and articulate English. I’m not about to listen to someone who’s having a hard time with that.

It’s amazing that the immigrant cop with broken English doesn’t understand the constitution. Complaints and lawsuits should follow his illegal detention.

How are there US police in 2026 with all the 1A auditors that don't understand our 1st amendment? This is how petty tyrant cops act in countries like Germany & The UK where there's no written constitution and the concept of individual liberties is a foreign (American) concept.

“You guys are tyrants, and you need to know you’re a bunch of tyrants.” 💯🔥

PLEASE request they not only be fired, but blackballed from public service. If they can't read their own damn handblook, LET ALONE THE CONSTITUTION THAT THEY SWEAR AN OATH TO UPHOLD, then they get no pity when they break their own code of conduct, and step on human rights. STOP BEING NICE TO THESE PEOPLE Damn their, I got a family, then don't be a damn tyrant. Stop being nice.

You guys should also consider making shoulder straps for a pair of signs front and back. Now they're 100% clothes.

It’s twice as annoying when they have a foreign accent. Why don’t you get to the point where you sound American before you try to violate my rights 🤣

Were you arrested?

No sir. But our friend was.

Ridiculous did they just immediately drop the charges or are they going to try and pursue this nonsense?

Hey look, a non-White officer who has no idea about our laws or culture. An anomaly.

These cops who falsely use their position of authority are the worst... They bank on people not knowing their rights, so they can trick you into doing what they want, even if you're protected by 1st ammendment. Corruption at its finest!

Deport these idiots.

I want to support police but these egomaniacs are sad,

You can't walk and talk in a public park? This is where you slap the police department with a civil rights LAWSUIT and expand the effort to abolish abortion. Christians have to stop rolling over for these infringements.

They'll harass him all day to appease and support the degenerate left, but they stand there and watch deranged people assault him and do nothing when actual laws are broken. That is the cops revenge; let them get in a few punches, then break it up after the sign is destroyed.

There was a time when I thought people like 1st Amendment auditors were simply looking for lawsuits to win and make money, and while some undoubtedly do, there's a real need for people to correct the problem via lawsuits. Not specifically to make money, but until jurisdictions feel the pressure financially they will not have incentive to cease this type of violation. Additionally they might realize to never agree to start doing this in the first place. More places are finding out that their insurance for their officers may not cover the results of these lawsuits, and with the loss of qualified immunity in some cases, individual officers should be considering the long-term impact of their decisions more closely. To note: I respect the profession of law enforcement immensely as they have to run TOWARDS the dangers the rest of us get to run AWAY from. But when we entrust certain individuals with guns, badges, and the authority to do things that could throw a normal person in prison, that office of public trust MUST be trusted by the public. When it does not then the citizenry needs to compel trust to be restored.

They take an oath to uphold your constitutional rights and then proceed to protect a non-profit's wishes instead...

I'm confused now. If your constitutional right is violated, you have to sue. Otherwise, this has been a pointless exercise of futility.

The city must love to give away free money. What a power tripping tyrant. Tyrants hate the word no. Lawsuit inbound for multiple civil rights violations and possibly assault.

For the 1000th time I ask; Why aren't more officers prosecuted under 18 U.S.C. § 242? The officer is CLEARLY depriving a citizen of his rights under color of law. The cop should lose his job and go to jail for doing this. Its a federal crime so not covered by Qualified Immunity.

ACAB! Hopefully you sued them, and those assholes get sacked.

That guy and his whole department need to be sued.

The police protected anti-ICE protesters free speech there just a few months ago;

As an officer, I’m more than happy to see you holding officers accountable for their lack of awareness of the Constitutional rights they’re infringing upon. Keep up the good work!

It is SHOCKING how many L.E.O.s don't understand public property and free speech.

I am actually so excited for the follow-up on this. Please Lord I pray this officer lose his job. Please.

Take their money and use it for more signs! 😅👊 Those cops are power tripping for sure

Texas LEOs as a whole are the biggest offenders of the constitution. Video after video coming out of Texas of LEOs trampling their citizens rights. From open carry to this. They are emboldened by their superiors and politicians who are the true tyrants Texas is truly not free

🙄 What he is doing walking around in a public area with a political sign is so well established law, that it's becoming rare for cities to even bother trying to get qualified immunity for theses 💩 Cops, they just pay the lawsuit right away after the BS charges get dropped. 🤡👮

Absolutely disgraceful. We cannot allow DPS to trample the 1A just because the Alamo grounds are managed by a NGO. I've seen other protesting around the Alamo plaza go uncontested, guess this just ruffles too many feathers. @GregAbbott_TX @KenPaxtonTX

Organizations like FIRE love stuff like this because uneducated cops bring in a lot of money
