She’s wearing a lot of product here to illustrate what happens to the pigments as different ones are applied and blended, so it’s a lot cakier than a normal foundation application

I typically wouldn't make fun of people who don't understand something but the number of people struggling with the demonstration is alarming. It's no different than the sped up paint mixing vids where fuschia, lavender and silver make "electric purple." How is that not evident?
