we got RDR1 VR on Quest before GTA6 flat and after GTA SA VR on Quest thanks to same vibecoding modder glorious days ahead. can't thank enough VR stores dying and AI terminators destroying walls and ready to kills us with so much joy

To be honest, this port shouldn't take up much storage space. The Android version takes up around 10GB :)

They will be, the modder has only been working on this mod for two days :) Adding motion controls won't be a big problem for him, the biggest challenge is optimization.

As a long-term PCVR user, I can say that running games on PCVR no longer impresses me - it's just the brute force of powerful hardware. However, such huge games running on mobile devices are something that can be called a technological miracle :)

Just tried out GTA Vice City in VR and WOW is it a ridiculously cool experience, I got this working on the Quest 3 headset as a standalone app which is also beyond impressive. It has motion controls, motion gunplay, driving and cutscenes all integrated!

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne PCVR Mod is out now! And it's just as fun as the game was 23 years ago (or even better!) 🤩 This mod is an absolute masterpiece, it adds a whole host of VR interactions, including manual reloading, holsters for weapons and items, fullbody IK, the ability to grab enemies... I just hope someone tries to port it to Quest 3 standalone, because technologically it should be possible 😌 The mod can be downloaded from this link:

I had a lot of fun playing with the steam frame, especially Half-Life Alyx Standalone but you want to know something insane... I got Half-Life Alyx running Standalone on the Quest 3... Still needs a lot of optimization and a lot of work but watch out later this week for more info. This is all done with the same AI modding tools that I've been using. It's insane. Still requires you to own Half-Life Alyx and it requires the files from the steam frame branch of the game.

This does not show what HLA’s only capabilities are with standalone play, as ports are designed entirely with caveats at play to get the game working as best as possible, and this footage is of the version built and intended primarily for PC wired play with lots done to get it running at all so it’s bound to look like this in this instance, but Valve making a Steam Frame standalone port of Alyx that looks good is still very possible, as crazy as it sounds!

Haven't had much time to work on the mod but Max Payne in VR standalone on Quest 3 already feels pretty amazing. This is just the tutorial level but the baked lighting looks really good on Quest. Frame rate is solid so far too and bullet time is awesome. Now I just need some hands and two handed gunplay and I'll try an actual level 😅.
