Wake Up NJ Speech from Trenton today in the Assembly Appropriations Committee on Bill A5267 How are you doing members of the committee, My name is Michael from Wake Up New Jersey, Bill A5267 means to procure and incentivize transmission-scale energy storage for "renewables" such as solar and wind How is this being funded? Well through your NJ electric bills! Starting July 1st 2027, a "minimum" of $60M will be collected via the societal benefits charges or SBC Might be asking yourself, what's an SBC? When first digging into why our bills were so high in February this year I had no idea, but They are hidden charges in your electric bills to pay for mostly pet projects The Board of Public Utilities or BPU, recommends the SBC funding level for 2025 to be?......anyone here know? It's over $344M per year in our NJ electric bills Why don't we go over a few these programs, Ever Heard of Charge Up New Jersey? It's a program that gives folks up to $4,250 dollars for buying Electric Vehicles and chargers. This is costing NJ residents over $30 million dollars a year in their electric bills How about 'It Pay$ to Plug In', this program has spent $100M since 2012 on EV chargers in your electric Bill! This program cost ratepayers $27M this year alone as an SBC Per year Electric Vehicle Programs total $82.5M, Clean Energy Equity costs us $16.6M, NJ Wind total $22M and Energy Storage is currently costing the rate payers $29.5M per year, just to stress again this bill your voting on today will jump it up to $60M a year at a minimum! More than double it's current total Why is all this in our New Jersey Electric Bills? Want to know the real problem NJ? Democrats here have been pillaging your pockets, nickel and diming you year after year for pet projects in your electric bills. Now with the rake hikes happening, they are frantically trying to steamroll multiple bills in committees in an effort to deflect from the main issue Since 2017 - 6 power plants have closed totaling over half our power here in NJ, Democrats championed coal and nuclear plants being shut down, betting on Windfarms that never happened, this is a huge reason our electric bills are so high here, we need sensible solutions, not a green agenda storage push that caused this mess New Jersey residents pay over $8,100 more per year than the average American Household on their bills and pay around $700 more per month in overall bills compared to the national average My handle receives so many messages, comments, concerns from citizens that are struggling daily, some working 2 to 3 jobs, this state is becoming more unaffordable each and every day, and bills coming out of this Legislature that add to that burden, are not good for the hardworking people of New Jersey We are already hurting with the worst property and corporate taxes, one of the worst income and gas tax rates, and the absolute worst overall tax burden at over 54% of your lifetime earnings being syphoned from our NJ residents How much more do you want to take from us? For nearly two hundred years, this square has been open, but because of the recent mental health condition that affects Muslims, causing them to shout Allahu Akbar before driving their vehicles into crowds of innocent people to kill them, we have to have these barriers. Here and on every bridge in London. Every single public place. Because solving the mental health condition would be very difficult so this is how we have to live now. Remember though boys and girls: diversity is our strength.

I would like to also take the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the World Council for Health in 2023. This past year has seen our coalition of more than 225 grassroots organisations go from strength to strength! With your financial contributions, we have demonstrated leadership in medicine, holistic health and science, international health policy, and human rights law. The World Council for Health has become a leading voice on health and sovereignty issues that impact everyone. At WCH, we envision a healthy, free, and sovereign world where we all have what we need to generate, sustain, and protect our own health and that of our loved ones, our communities, and our environments. However, a minority of special interest groups have a rather different vision, they envision a New World Order where we have nothing, and they have everything. A world of monopoly power where we, the many, are made fearful and exploited by the few. Thank you,PIX11 News for including my perspective today on NJ's energy shortage. The issue is two-fold: long-term goals must be paired with short-term relief. Both houses cast a UNANIMOUS YES vote for A4881. Expanding nuclear is a critical piece of our long-term strategy, understanding the benefits are still 7-10 years away. As for IMMEDIATE RELIEF, NJ Assembly GOP already has the bills.on deck: • A5723: Suspend the sales tax & the Societal Benefits Charge on electric & gas bills, putting an estimated $400-469M back into the pockets of NJ families. • A907: Instead of asking ratepayers to bankroll another progressive policy experiment, "green energy" initiative, rebate shell game, or mandate, Trenton better make sure the people paying the bills can actually afford them first. The bill protects ratepayers from being forced to bail out failed offshore wind projects. NJ already kissed $175M goodbye on the Ørsted fiasco with nothing to show for it & this bill makes sure families aren't left paying for the next progressive failure. • A2463: Get NJ out of RGGI, the "carbon credit" scam that makes power plants pay for emissions & passes those costs on to your electric bill. NJ has collected more than $1.2B through RGGI & families are getting hammered by rising utility bills as a direct result, while the State hasn't even come close to its pipe dream emissions goals. Ending RGGI is estimated to save NJ ratepayers about $279M every year. Another inconvenient truth is that we now import roughly 40% of our electricity from neighboring states that burn fossil fuels & pat ourselves on the back like we did something noble by jacking up costs & straining the regional grid. So ridiculous. Energy & common sense are both in short supply. • My bill, A4968: Increase NJ's commitment to LIHEAP so economically- disadvantaged families who genuinely need help receive more assistance. IT'S ABOUT PRIORITIES. This debacle didn't happen TO us. Many of the same legislators who occupy the Majority embraced the dim, short-sighted policies that got us into this energy mess in the first place. Instead of funding sparkly stadium lights, French art museums, bailouts for cities that spend like spoiled teenagers with their parents' AMEX card, or millions for politically-favored recreation centers & swimming pools, how about we lower people's utility bills instead? The GOP would be more than happy to help the Majority identify where those cuts can be made to provide immediate relief for the families & businesses footing the bill. Thank you,PIX11 News for including my perspective today on NJ's energy shortage. The issue is two-fold: long-term goals must be paired with short-term relief. Both houses cast a UNANIMOUS YES vote for A4881. Expanding nuclear is a critical piece of our long-term strategy, understanding the benefits are still 7-10 years away. As for IMMEDIATE RELIEF, NJ Assembly GOP already has the bills.on deck: • A5723: Suspend the sales tax & the Societal Benefits Charge on electric & gas bills, putting an estimated $400-469M back into the pockets of NJ families. • A907: Instead of asking ratepayers to bankroll another progressive policy experiment, "green energy" initiative, rebate shell game, or mandate, Trenton better make sure the people paying the bills can actually afford them first. The bill protects ratepayers from being forced to bail out failed offshore wind projects. NJ already kissed $175M goodbye on the Ørsted fiasco with nothing to show for it & this bill makes sure families aren't left paying for the next progressive failure. • A2463: Get NJ out of RGGI, the "carbon credit" scam that makes power plants pay for emissions & passes those costs on to your electric bill. NJ has collected more than $1.2B through RGGI & families are getting hammered by rising utility bills as a direct result, while the State hasn't even come close to its pipe dream emissions goals. Ending RGGI is estimated to save NJ ratepayers about $279M every year. Another inconvenient truth is that we now import roughly 40% of our electricity from neighboring states that burn fossil fuels & pat ourselves on the back like we did something noble by jacking up costs & straining the regional grid. So ridiculous. Energy & common sense are both in short supply. • My bill, A4968: Increase NJ's commitment to LIHEAP so economically- disadvantaged families who genuinely need help receive more assistance. IT'S ABOUT PRIORITIES. This debacle didn't happen TO us. Many of the same legislators who occupy the Majority embraced the dim, short-sighted policies that got us into this energy mess in the first place. Instead of funding sparkly stadium lights, French art museums, bailouts for cities that spend like spoiled teenagers with their parents' AMEX card, or millions for politically-favored recreation centers & swimming pools, how about we lower people's utility bills instead? The GOP would be more than happy to help the Majority identify where those cuts can be made to provide immediate relief for the families & businesses footing the bill.
