@CrawfordCollege The video is to short for us, context is very important. This could be history class, how are the young people supposed to learn about they history if they are not taught.

@CrawfordCollege It’s probably a history lesson of what those words mean and where they originated from. Those kids don’t seem offended or alarmed so it was probably nothing to be alarmed about. Our teacher gave us a similar lesson about the word “Moor” when we read Othello. Relax people

@CrawfordCollege The word "KAFIR"= does mean NON-BELIEVER though? Just because it was turned into a racial slur doesn't take away its true meaning. A generation that doesn't want to learn a true meaning of a word will forever be blind.

@CrawfordCollege It is important to check the true meaning behind words before you judge. The reaction is understandable given the history behind the words in South Africa. But what was the reason behind the lesson? Are we going to allow words to enslave us for eternity?
