I took care of my mother for 10 years. She had Alzheimer's. You can't,"teach" at that stage, you care for. That woman is horrible.

Call the Wilmington, NC Police and report this elder abuse.

JFC. This breaks my heart. And younger adults have literally no clue how many thousands each month it will cost to have the most basic care ..not even more intense care...just the bare minimum. Make arrangements and save every penny.

If he has Dementia he won't remember, his short term memory is probably effected. It's just pointless, that's why he keeps doing it. My client used to head for his previous address from years before, he forgot he moved. Kindness/patience is what he needs not punishment 😪

She needs to get Dementia awareness training, you cant "teach" him, his brain is not capable of retaining the information anymore. It doesn't have the capacity, and it will deteriorate further, not develope. It's not like a developing brain of a child.
