If one doesn’t understand the concept of reasonable doubt , he/sheshould be removed. If you don’t have a grasp on the basic concept, you can’t be allowed to rule on that concept. Remove them. This will only happen again and again, just replace them, that’s what alternates are for

The judge is wrong he should have announced a mistrial & sent the jury home. Whatever happens & if the verdict if it’s ever reached is primed for a successful appeal IMO. The juror is basically being asked to go with the majority against his/her opinion.

I said yesterday- If they had put the 18 jury names back in the shoe box and picked 12 names out again - might have a verdict by now. Would be ridiculous to replace one juror.

Why cant they hold said juror in contempt? Is that not a thing if he or she is actively ignoring the law and judge
