finding out that this scene wasnt in the remake was so upsetting, its one of my favorites 😭

I love the remake but them taking this and James kissing Mary’s forehead away made me upset. James is a terrible person for what he did but at the same time I feel like it’s very obvious that if he could take it back he would 😭😭

I really this made it to the remake, we don't get enough of James's perspective. This is the one of the few things I think it did worse.

After the TV tape I was agressively searching for this audio tape in the otherworld hotel. Finding out they replaced it with something super generic and lame kinda killed the hype I had by the end haha. Such an important piece of story building gone, shame.

This will always be the strongest argument for anyone who claims James didn't love Mary. You don't know true heartbreak until you're unexpectedly cornered and blindsided by the indefinite slow decay of someone of you love. Life just isn't fair sometimes.
