She made so many valid points - not least the one about the BAFTAs/BBC editing team choosing to keep that moment in the broadcast. A broader conversation about Tourette’s Syndrome has been started but it’s blown up into something which will do more harm than good.

Good video and correct target for blame. BBC has now apologised but heaven knows why they made the decision to keep this footage in. A decision to raise awareness maybe? Whatever it was, it was poorly made and at the great expense of many.

She is not a doctor or scientist who has performed studies on this topic. You can have Tourette’s and at the same time be an anti-Black racist. Tourette’s doesn’t stop you from being a racist.

Of course you can but a tic doesn’t indicate anything about the type of person you are. It is neurological and completely involuntary

A tic also doesn’t mean that you’re NOT an anti-Black racist and a white supremacist. So why should I assume that this old white man from the colonial UK and from a white culture that invented anti-Black racism & slavery isn’t racist?

In the documentary he had a tic when he told his dog to cross the busy street, when he meant the opposite and in the movie he told his friend it's funny she is going to die of cancer. That would mean he wanted his dog and a friend dead.
