Fuck. I hate how accurate this can be

Had me like

"Getting you tested for Downs Syndrome on Monday." I'm dying.

Omg this was me and my dad. Turns out i am dyslexic, not stupid ;)

Yo me too. Didn’t know until well into my 20’s 😂

Everyone always called me stupid, a failure, not trying. I could never explain. But when i was an A in algebra they were totally confused.

My worst fear, is not having a retarded child but having a mid witted child. Like if they are mentally handicapped there's nothing you can do, if they are just below average it's just infinity more frustrating. 😮💨

The only thing my father taught me is that I don’t know how to hold a fucking flashlight

Been both sides. They suck equally.

This kind treatment is actually very traumatic. I’ve never forgotten it. Don’t do this to your children.

My oldest makes it out like my husband is this way but he’s not and then I have to pull out -back in my day. That usually goes really well 😂

🤣🤣🤣

It hurts cause it’s true

My dad was a math person and he didn’t understand why I didn’t grasp things as quickly as he did. He would explain things and I just wouldn’t be able to understand what he was trying to say. He would get so frustrated, so I would just act like I understood so he would go away and I would pretend my homework was done so he would stop asking if I needed help. In retrospect, I’m lucky he was involved and wanted to help. He’s gone now and I miss him so so much.

This was rough to watch. Doing my homework with my grandparents around was easy. Doing my homework with my father around was a nightmare. I didn’t cry, but I struggled. With my grandparents, I got really good grades. With my father, I barely squeaked by. Yelling, name calling, slaps. Not good memories.

I would be mad if my kid was an idiot too.

Omg 😆 My dad beat mathematics in me lmfao

The irony is you’re feeding your kid fruit snacks so I’m assuming he had bad micro gut biom which causes foggy brain and lowers the IQ as well as lowers basic cognitive skills significantly. I say this from experience. I too was that child who thought I was “slow” it turns out mom and dad were raised in organic food and fed us absolute chemical garbage.

Thank gawd my kids were mathematically inclined. I don't think I could have managed both! "No, you raging idiot, "carrot" does not start with a "k"!!!!"

Why did this make me laugh so hard

This was me on Sunday AND Wednesday! Their mom was like, “I don’t know why you’re getting irritated.” I thought, “b***ch, you try doing this shit!” But I’m smart enough not to say that.

Didn’t even get this much. Like many, school was just a free babysitter to my parents.

I feel for the kid, I was and still am awful at math

I’ll break this down. Dad is helping Jr because Mom asked him to. Dad’s hours coincide with Jr and Mom is working. Dad works a labor Job during the day and Mom works a labor job at night. Dad is trying his best but he did just get done a shift at work.

My mom would start beating me with her belt or a hanger 😂 I stopped thinking straight and eventually stopped bringing my homework home 🤣

Omg 😂 ahhh I am feeling the trauma 🤣

Literally, word for word, a page out of my life as a parent. And probably as a kid too, but I've blocked that memory too.

Thank you for this video, you’ve helped wash away some guilt lol

Yep, this was me as a kid. Now my parents are a part of the "why doesnt my son visit me" club.

Exactly how I felt asking my dad, who has a Masters Degree in Physics, for help with high school physics.

@4thGenNV Like when i was trying to learn reading lol

Dad: “WHY ARE YOU RETARDED????” Me: “genetics?” And that’s the last thing I remember about that night

I always did my homework by myself because my parents were tards. 🫤

Kids can’t think straight when they are being yelled at. Encourage them and make it fun! I hate parents like this 🙄🤣

Mean!?!? Lol 😆😆😆

This is me right now with my 5 year old 🤣 think she enjoys saying the wrong answer for attention

>relatable Ahh, but as the father or child?

Holy shit who snuck into my house and recorded this
