The man who died has been identified as Subrahmanyam, a resident of Dish Colony in Pileru. His body was found with bleeding injuries on the highway on Saturday. Locals initially suspected that he had been knocked down by an unidentified vehicle. The case took a new turn after Subrahmanyam's father, Krishnaiah, raised suspicions about his daughter-in-law, Umadevi, who told police that he could not contact his son, daughter-in-law or grandson. When he reached their house, it was locked and both Umadevi and her son Lohith were reportedly missing. Police subsequently examined the house and the route leading to the highway. Investigators have found bloodstains and began analysing CCTV footage from the area, which have provided important clues about the movement of a two-wheeler and the transportation of the body. Pileru DSP Krishna Mohan said preliminary investigation found frequent disputes between the couple. The police officer added that the man's father had also alleged that Umadevi was involved in an extramarital relationship and that police were investigating that angle. Based on the statement, police are also examining whether the alleged relationship could have provided a motive for the killing and whether anyone else assisted in moving and disposing of the body. Umadevi and Lohith have been detained and questioned, while investigators are working to establish the exact sequence of events and cause of death or whether it was a planned murder. The police are investigating whether the body was deliberately placed on the highway to make the death appear like a road accident.

Yesterday evening, Gardaí were called out to a level crossing in Kiltybo, near Ballyhaunis, after receiving reports of a collision between a car and a train. Upon arrival, they found the child inside the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been taken to Mayo University Hospital for a post-mortem. The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital by ambulance, where his injuries are understood not to be life-threatening. The scene is due to be examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road will remain closed for the time being. GardaÍ have asked any witnesses to contact Ballina Garda Station, and are keen to talk to anyone with dash cam footage, who was in the Ballyhaunis area yesterday between 8.15pm and 9.15pm.

With his death having been confirmed at the hospital, his body embarked on a 1h 10 minutes journey to Medical College Ernkulam in Kochi where a post-mortem was conducted on his body for three hours. The Department of Forensic Medicine at Government Medical College, Ernakulam, is described as a key academic and clinical department providing autopsy services and expert medical testimony for legal cases. Witnessing the process was Raila Odinga's personal doctor, Dr Olunya, his bodyguard Ogeta and Peter Muchiri Kenya's High Commissioner to India. Indian policemen stood guard outside the building until the process was completed and the body driven to Kochi Airport for airlifting to Mumbai Airport on an Indian Air Force plane then to Kenya on a KQ plane. Amit Chaudhary was the only son of his parents and only brother of his three elder sisters. He was about to gt married in Jan 2024. On the evening of 14th Sep he called his uncle and told him that the wife of the colonel at whose house he is posted as a House Help under Buddy system of Army is going to murder him. After three days the family received a call from SM of the unit who informed them that they are sending the dead body of Amit to Jammu. The family received the Body on 19th Sep and even now no one from the Army bothered to inform them about the cause and reason of his death. Family is alleging that Wife of the Colonel was forcing Amit to do things with her which he was not comfortable with. And that leads to his murder. Its such a serious allegation and if this is true its a shame for the entire force.

Waa! Apparently, this is a grave, and the guy died just a week ago. He was buried as if he had never existed. The man was a drunkard. He was hit by a vehicle on the road. This is a tradition among the Kabras, but I hear that most Luhyas and Luos also practice it. His burial service was held while his body was still in the mortuary. After the people went home, the elders brought his body and buried him quietly. Children and even men under 30 who had no children were not allowed to be present during the lowering of the body. Grass was planted on the grave to make it look like nothing had ever happened there. The next day, all his clothes and belongings were donated. This is done to help the community forget him and to ward off such kinds of deaths in the future.
