Plumber here, this happens all the time. It’s being pushed up by hydrostatic pressure, basically water in the ground. That tank is supposed to be full of water, or else this happens. I can tell it’s empty by the sound it makes. The installer needed to fill it before leaving.

Empty plastic septic tank floating. Yup, lots of displacement and not much weight. Looks like an emergency lifeboat because it IS an emergency lifeboat.

It floated, the ground was more than likely over saturated with water. When we install these, we usually fill them half way full of water to keep weight in them before the start getting daily flow to avoid this very problem.

Supposed to put large amounts of rock ballast all around the tank with drainage holes to prevent this from happening
