Got a little hungry and decided a proper san’gwich was necessary. Hit up sprout & co., grabbed the ingredients that spoke to me, and let instinct take over from there. This was the final result 🤌🏼 Spinach & Sausage San’gwich #Recipe Ingredients ∙ 1 package of sweet sausages ∙ 1 container of baby spinach or broccoli rabe ∙ 9 cloves garlic finely chopped ∙ Olive oil ∙ Salt to taste ∙ Red pepper to taste ∙ 6 rolls of your choice ∙ Provolone cheese Method Add oil to hot pan and add sausages to heat them up. Put them in the oven at 350 degrees. Brown on both sides. While the sausages are in the oven, finely chop your garlic. Once sausages are brown on both sides, finish cooking them on the stove for a couple minutes, if necessary. Remove sausages from the pan and add some more oil to that pan over medium heat. Add your garlic, salt and red pepper. Let that cook for a minute or so and then add your spinach. Cook spinach all the way down until it’s perfectly wilted. Slice your sausages. Add plenty of spinach to the bread. Top with the sausage and provolone and enjoy!!

I just watched a cooking video where a woman was frying link sausages in a pan filled with oil. Instead of draining the grease or lowering the heat… she started opening tampons and dropping them into the pan to soak up the excess oil. And honestly, you could tell she thought she had discovered a genius little kitchen hack. No splatter. No strainer. Just “absorb and move on.” I understand wanting to cut down on grease and keep things simple… but there has to be a line somewhere before we turn breakfast into a hygiene aisle experiment. Add a dash of this seasoning, a sprinkle of those spices, and all the butter you can handle, and this crawfish boil looks as tasty as can be. The inclusion of vegetables like jalapeños and okra just takes this to the next level. The only thing I would've changed? Was to wash off those root veggies before they went in. I'm just not a fan of that much earth in my boil. Let's eat!

this is why I love doing what I’m doing right now. I just discovered a 10 out of 10 lobster roll in a place you would never expect it. It’s a spot called Lobster Maine-ia. They sell live lobsters and fresh seafood, and stuff like that but there’s a secret menu item, a ready to eat. Lobster roll. There’s no sides there’s no drinks. There’s just one of the best lobster rolls you’ll ever eat. Heck it’s not even in a regular shopping center. It’s just in the back of a bunch of warehouses somewhere under the flight path of the airport. It’s 20 bucks too, so it’s cheaper than all the other places minus maybe a grocery store. you know I don’t usually rate things until I’ve tried them 5 to 10 times but this was 10 out of 10 and I’d eat it again tomorrow. In fact, I’d eat it again right now.

If you’ve ever made Mexican rice that turned out mushy, crunchy, or stuck to the bottom of the pan, this method might finally fix it for you. She uses Jasmine rice and starts by toasting it in oil until it turns a nice golden brown. Then she adds water using a 1:3 ratio, along with tomato sauce and seasoning. After one quick stir, she covers it and doesn’t touch it again. It cooks for 10 minutes, then she turns the heat off and lets it rest covered for another 15 minutes total. The biggest rule? No lifting the lid early. The result is perfectly cooked rice that doesn’t stick or get mushy. A lot of people apparently struggle with this because they either don’t toast the rice first or they keep peeking and stirring while it’s cooking. I’m always here for practical kitchen tips that actually make sense. Have you ever had trouble getting Mexican rice right, or do you have a method that works well for you?

One of my go to recipes for this time of year. This one is perfect for the family. Take half an onion, a couple carrots, a couple stalks of celery and cut them up nice and fine. Mince a few cloves of garlic and set aside. Take about a pound of Smoked Kielbasa, cut into slices and brown in you pot. Once the fat is rendered nicely and sausage is brown, throw in your mirepoix and cook for 5-7 minutes. Add in your garlic and cook another couple minutes. Add a splash of white wine vinegar, about 32oz of chicken stock, a can of crushed tomatoes, a can of beans, salt, pepper, dried Italian seasoning and some fresh sage. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes. Add in a good cup or two of kale, some mushrooms of choice and a little chili powder. Cook another 5-10 minutes. Serve with shredded Pecorino Romano over the top.

Instead of pulling the whole door off and planing it down (then having to prime and paint), he just pops the top hinge pin, shims the door over, and uses a crescent wrench to gently bend the hinge loops back into alignment. Two minutes and it’s done. No mess, no refinishing, and it works just as well on the bottom of the door too. Why don’t more people know about this trick?
