Taken from my bedroom window today in the Scottish Highlands in the snow ❄️ I have shared limited information about the sheer trauma that has happened to me over the last 3.5 years, and now 8 major surgeries later. I just built a Claude skill that makes animated ads in any style (Stop Motion, Vox, Origami...) Paste any design you like. It replicates the whole style. Here's what it does: - You paste a reference image, or just a brief. - It breaks the look down into an editable spec. - It generates the on-brand stills with Nanobanana 2. - You approve the ones you like. - It animates them into stop-motion with Seedance 2.0. The frame opens empty. The cut-out pieces slide in and snap into place. Everything runs in Claude through the connector, so you never juggle models. Your only job is taste. Grok 3 was just released. You won't believe it, I've already created a game. (I got early access THIS MORNING). This game was 100% created by GROK, I just told it what I wanted, and put the code in the right place. I just keep asking for adjustments, and it keeps spitting the game out in a single file that I can put on my desktop and run. The game is changed forever. I've been developing a lot with AI's from every other major AI builder lately, trying to decide what I like best, and grok is a PLAYER. I don't have official benchmarks, and I don't have API setup yet so it's not my normal workflow, but it felt every bit as capable as Sonet, 4o, or anything else. In the next day or so I'll get it set up as part of my workflow in NVIM and put it to real work. This is incredible. We live in the future. Everyone is a developer now.

I now have a magic thing called Codex. So do you, so does everybody. That means I should be using my computer in a completely different way. I should not be clicking around pasting from one messaging app to another. I should not be scrolling mindlessly through my emails and trying to figure out which one is least painful for me to open and respond when I don't want to be dealing with it. I should not be keeping a to-do list and doing sort of these rote computer tasks in the same way that I have for so long. And yet there's something in my mind that is encoded that doing this kind of stuff is what it means to work and what it means to be productive. And if you asked me I would never say I like doing it that way. In fact I would say the opposite and I think I would mean it. I have a better way to do it now. I can do it faster. I can be using Codex for more of just my day-to-day to get through this stack of emails, to do this stuff on my to-do list, to deal with all these things. And I still do it that way. And it makes no sense other than I must secretly like it or feel good about it.”
