I think it's when the mod itself doesn't use any of the resources from the base game or the engines, and was built from the ground up. I think this mod uses an engine, but it very well has the capabilities to be a fangame. I think that's the secret beauty of FNF mods. It can be made for fun, but when a collection of talented people work on something unique, it has the potential to be it's own thing. 😇👍
