i think raquel will fall for it sorely cause her reactions aren't up to par, this way they give her one last chance to elevate herself if she goes full jealousy route, plus finn doesn't go out completely empty handed.

Agreed. Fans don’t want to cheer Finn because if that was the case the moment he thwarted Dominik’s 619 and started stomping on him the crowd would’ve cheered instead of booing him.

You have to ask yourself why is Finn so hyper-focused on mentioning Liv on the show and social media weekly? It's like he has tunnel-vision and they're the ones feuding. They're setting it up that he's gonna be shocked at her return. But why would he be shocked? And why would she return? Unless she's there to spoil whatever plans he has. For those clamoring for Face Finn you're setting him up HARD. Dom's gonna get massive cheers no matter who he goes up against because it happened organically. A storyline to make Finn look like the good guy isn't gonna help. A heel getting bigger cheers than the face makes the babyface look terrible. Why set Finn up like that? The audience has spoken here and this has been the story for a year. Just lean into it. Dom's firmly a tweener and Eddie Guerrero type lying, cheating and stealing is what endears Dom to fans. Finn's in a lose-lose situation here. Even if Dom double-crosses them he's gonna be loved. Dom gets cheered everywhere. Finn gets boo'd everywhere outside of an NXT entrance. Hell, even in the recent UK house show tour Finn and Judgment Day were getting boos and Dom was getting louder cheers than Punk here.

A new Judgment Day narrative that I completely missed until now: Remember when we were all confused when Michael Cole kept pushing the narrative Dominik "has gotten a big head" since winning the IC title when the JD segments weren't reflecting that narrative about Dom? Then this past Monday Michael said Liv "has gotten a bit full of herself and wants to be referred to as 'Movie Star Liv Morgan.'" The narrative being that Finn is gonna get the group to turn on Liv & Dom b/c they've gotten a big ego similar to Rhea and Damian. The story they're doing now is completely different than what they did last Summer, but this part would be similar

I think we've finally seen the last of the "Finn manipulating Dom" tropes. They pretty much exhausted all the ways they can do it at this point. Finn's slight nod to Roxanne and her knowing glance back to initiate whatever they had planned was...a bit of lazy writing. We get it at this point. It's all to reinforce that Liv knows what Finn's doing and her coming back to ruin whatever plans he has to push her out of the group and Finn taking out Dom in the process.
