Everybody is different of course. However, correcting someone, discipline, showing that there is a right way and the wrong way of doing things is perfectly normal and perfectly fine. You don’t want to raise a bunch of undisciplined wayward people that don’t know right from wrong. Don’t know left from right and don’t know how to make the bed.

I was dating a professor and both her 12 year old kids (a boy and a girl) weren’t doing well in school, in fact the girl was kicked out of school for fighting and the boy was failing and the school tested him and said he had an IQ of 81… (total nonsense) and they fought with each other constantly… I knew both kids were extremely bright because of the sophisticated jokes they’d make, or the the tactics they’d use to avoid responsibilities… so I pointed out how brilliant they were every time I witnessed them being clever… and when they fought, I point out the they clearly loved each other because otherwise they’d be in their own rooms by themselves… I’d tell them that they loved each other so much that they couldn’t stay away from each other… (which was true on some level) and if they wanted to go with me to get ice cream, they had to each name 3 things that they loved about each other… over the course of year they both became top students… the girl did get in one fight, but it was defending her brother from some bully… she actually said “nobody hits my brother but me”… positive reinforcement is life changing… 🙌 btw, the professor and I ultimately broke up because I wouldn’t get vaxxed… and being a Trump supporter didn’t help either…

not sure about that so just let people trip over the same stone over and over is better?

This is absolutely correct. AND its very usual as a narcissist behaviour. They tend to really suck and drain all your energy, your dreams are shettered, your confidence starts being questioned...step away from these kind of people. Life is colorful, bright because GOD exists.

Not all the time correction is a disguise for criticism, this is exaggeration to get people’s attention! Not worthy to read if it is half truth!

My parents constantly corrected us with love. We’re very confident and successful…at least by today’s standard. Let’s just stop this bullshit and start to learn from those generations who raised world changers. We are raising lazy kids with all these kind of ideas.

It isn’t the discipline that’s the issue, it’s the lack of love and encouragement. This video doesn’t address this and turns any form of discipline into a problem which is wrong.

Wow, the comments are a real eye opener. Seems like: all the men appreciate a world where we correct each other. And all the women do not comprehend the value of correction and take it as a personal attacks, toxic criticism etc. Men and women are truly different.

There must be a balance. Always correcting someone vs not correcting someone, there lies a fine line in between. If some people wont be corrected, they wouldnt even realize there’s a better way or good way of doing things that could infact benefit them in return

If you have kid that doesn’t do their homework, clean their room or do anything with out an attitude? Not correcting them is only going to set them up for failure.

Some of you are missing the point. This isn’t about correcting people here and there. It’s about doggin them constantly to the point of lowering their self confidence and self esteem to the point of giving up. Anyone who has been in a relationship with someone who has BPD knows EXACTLY what I’m talking about. It’s death by a millions cuts and it really fucks you up.

100%, this applies in all aspects of life. From your childhood, to school, and work. Parents, teachers, and bosses can all unintentionally destroy someone with overcorrection, taking years of “treatment” to return to a balanced confidence level, if there is still time.

Only for soft ass Pressure breaks the soft. I took it, hardened under it, and grew stronger. That’s how success is made.

Ask any elite athlete if they got there by their coach ignoring their mistakes and letting them figure it out on their own. Some people just know how to take it as positive to accomplish goals. Hence why there are very few elite athletes.Gentle parenting doesn’t work. Look around

Maria Montessori said, "Teach by teaching, not by correcting." Make a mental note and at a suitable moment, teach the skill. A lot more difficult than it sounds but it is crucial in healthy learning.

Sometimes it’s not the parents, sometimes it’s friends ( frenemies ) & random people online. This needs to be discussed in length cause sometimes it’s also them who are posting stuff like these making parents seem like the enemies.

You can have the most understanding , coolest & most supportive parents but the kind of company you keep online & people who you chat online can create the same negative impact. Most kids learn later on about friends who are manipulating/gaslighting &using them for their own gain

And if your a decent human being with empathy, you’re going to realise that your causing someone hurt before watching a video like this. Fuck these people, they’re too sure of themselves otherwise they’d be a point of reflection
