As an Albertan, I'm tired of being raped and pillaged from the east. They ALL sit on their own wealth of resources but refuse to explore on their own. Quebec is the worst, sitting on a massive oilfield with a NO DRILL Policy. That speaks volumes.

No, Alberta is not becoming the 51st state. Alberta joining the U.S. as the 51st state is off the table. U.S. State Department discussions have proceeded on the basis of Alberta as an independent country, because statehood is seen as an impossibility in the U.S. Senate.

"No to increasing production of tar sands by 100M barrels a day (what?). No to lifting the tanker ban on the West Coast. No to pathways carbon capture project. No to the MOU within Alberta. All of Alberta is treaty land...we are who standing here today have stopped Alberta from separating, and we will stop this MOU from being enacted."
