@FTC @linakhanFTC @hasanthehun listened to you for a bit. coming from someone who really isn't partisan, you probably have most everything right..except tariffs tariffs are pro labor, even bernie has been pro tariff/anti wto/nafta etc democrats haven't been pro labor since 80s, blue/red team not your friend

Remember how the Supreme Court overturned Chevron back in June? Well, now Kroger & Albertsons have announced a merger, a merger that the FTC argued would violate anti trust laws...........but Kroger is suing, citing the overturning of Chevron and stating that the FTC cannot use regulatory power. So what does this mean? It depends on how the lawsuit goes, but if the court rules in favor of Kroger, it appears that the company plans to use their new monopoly-ish power of the merger to increase grocery prices..........which is one reason Chevron should never have been overturned.

Bonta: We identified three markets where they’re violating the law and the judge was persuaded by all of our arguments. So she’s issued an order blocking the merger. It’s very clear that Paramount and Warner Bros. can take no steps toward consummating the merger. She also set a briefing schedule for a hearing on a preliminary injunction. If we obtain that injunction at the hearing, which will be held in two weeks, it will block the merger throughout the pendency of the litigation.

Kroger exposed for not applying the discounts for coupons customers are clipping through their apps and in-store Customers are reviewing their receipts and finding the discounts are not being applied One shopper found 80% of the time the discounts aren’t applied at checkout A Kroger spokesperson responded to these complains and said when discounts don’t apply a store worker can help But this sounds intentional. Most people don’t pay very close attention, so discounts not applying is easily missed. Kroger is basically saying year our system doesn’t work but a store rep can help you, if you manage to catch it…. This is extremely dishonest and most likely intentional I also found stories of this happening at Safeway and Albertsons owned locations
