It becomes easier to acknowledge personal failings when your performance is uncoupled from your self worth.

The irony is most of us know the solution but fail to practice because of ego- we fail to notice our faults and to cover up we blame it onto others. Ego seeks superiority and it doesn’t allow you to see things as they are- presents its twisted version that you want to see.
