8G is doable for short periods if you know how to squeeze the blood out of your legs and abdomen - and keep breathing at the same time. There are also 'Turning Trousers' that help as well. These are tight fitting pressure controlled pants that artificially squeeze the thighs and abdomen area to stop muscle fatigue for longer durations. As an aside : Males have to be careful how these are put on to ensure that nothing is going to be compressed that you don't want flattened. 6G is uncomfortable but easily managed with practice. 4G is pretty ho hum when used to it. 2G is hardly noticeable in terms of discomfort. If I am doing aeros with non experienced people I restrict the G to 3 max or they would get panicky or even 'grey out'. 'Grey Out' is when all the blood pools into the lower body and not enough gets to the brain. The first signs are tunnel vision and then a little sleepy byes. Recovery is instant once the G is removed, albeit with some confusion at times. Not a good pax experience. The opposite is 'Red Out' when exposed to negative G. This is actually very dangerous over about -2G. The blood runs into the head and can cause a brain bleed at the extremes. But even -1G can give you blood vessel ruptures in the eyes and make you look like Boris Karloff (classical reference) for a couple of days. 0G is rather pleasant, but difficult to sustain for any length of time unless you are in Space. Some people get nauseous or 'sea sick' with prolonged exposure until acclimatized. See 'Vomit Comet'
