This is the greatest racing game ever made

It’s so so good. High risk high reward. And ramjet is a fantastic mechanic that adds some legit skill

Ramjet redlining is so much fun. It’s like they made every vehicle play like Mr. Apollo from Screamer(2026).

The only racing game where finishing 2nd or 3rd feels just as good as finishing 1st… sometimes 🤣

Especially when you got wrecked and gotta claw your way from a low position

Already have! It was on my radar since the 1st teaser, havent played it fully tho, im playing all of the flatout games first! Hopefully i get to play motorstorm and wipeout as well, i heard great things, but yeah racing's awesome, combat racing's awesome, and when it hits IT HITS

I like forza a lot but I play it less like a racing game and more like a drive around and explore kinda thing.

@gregalthoff yeah that shit slomo exploring mode in comparison to this, i've played multiple entries and never felt the fast-paced or close call intensity in forza

@bubbmungus I'd have to disagree. After coming from the latest Forza and having the fastest cars, I thought this game was a tad slower, but I just started it so maybe it picks up?

@bubbmungus the newer one has better sense of speed in comparison to the older 4, or 5 yeah. But it's still not the same and racing against forza ai isn't intense at all most times

@bubbmungus I know what you mean. In Galactic Racer, you get hit a lot and you have to be perfect as well so your racer doesn’t get destroyed etc . It’s a lot of fun

I’m using Ary and getting parts to extend and buff the redline. She starts with surge and I go for vents so I can keep the ramjet up. Try to get as much battery as you can so you can keep venting and surging the entire race.

Aaah okay. Is there a way to max out the time on the redline? What if you get the ramjet racing style that lets you stop and resume ramjet with a brief window to squeeze out one more second out of it

I think I might’ve seen a perk like that but I’m not 100%. There are definitely ones that make the redline last longer though. Also ran one that has a 60% chance of resetting when you overheat which was fun until one race I blew myself up every time I tried lol

No split screen was criminal

That’s my biggest gripe with this game; every racing game should have split screen

there are very few people who seem to have a grasp on 3d parallaxing for grand scale. red dead redemption, modern zelda games, crimson desert. a 25 mile away mountain that you reach in 10 seconds without it feeling weird. this is one of the examples.
