Hundreds of volunteers helped move a 400-ton Hirosaki Castle in Japan. The volunteers, were selected by lottery, and used ropes to pull the structure more than 10 feet back to its original position, 230 feet away. The castle was moved in 2015 for repairs after an earthquake damaged a wall.

.jon ronson’s new book, The Castle, is absolutely insane in all the best ways. The opening chapter alone is inspired by a true story that actually happened to his son. He got lured to a giant medieval castle that would make Dracula look modest. His son was under the impression it was a party until the castle owner said he wanted the women with him to participate in a fake reality show called "101 Princesses," and it only gets more crazy from there when Jon decides to check it out for himself: “So I go to the castle… he says a couple of unwise things about how he brings women to the castle and adapts them to his lifestyle, and so on. Then he clearly regrets saying unwise things to a journalist, because he gets out a piece of paper for me to sign, and it's an NDA. So I say no. And so he puts the NDA back, and I notice he has a whole pile of NDAs in his kitchen. So who else was he getting to sign them, and why?”

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya rolls in a motorcade of 16 fuel - guzzlers! But don't worry, he promises Gen Zs he'll downsize to just 2 vehicles if elected president. People don't realise is just how crazy this is. Trans Nzoia County generated only KSh 476 million in own-source revenue last year (every shilling collected from land rates, licenses, parking fees, mineral royalties, permits etc) That KSh 476 million is barely enough to maintain and run these 16 vehicles for one year. Here's a rough breakdown: Assume each vehicle costs KSh 40,000 per day (fuel plus per diems for 3 people at KSh 5,000 - 10,000 each, with fuel taking the rest). If the motorcade is on the road for 300 days a year, the total comes to: KSh 192 million (40,000 × 300 × 16). Add insurance for these high-end vehicles, servicing, car washing and detailing, minor repairs, and other costs, and you'll quickly realise that the people of Trans Nzoia, the County Assembly, the Deputy Governor, county employees, hospitals, and other essential services are left with less than KSh 100 million to share for the entire year. Everything else has been swallowed by Governor Natembeya’s motorcade…. But He is the best Governor, Yeeeeh! Because He is brave, He attacks the President and say things that we love to hear!!

Told ya. The NBA's Last 2 Minute Report confirms the out of bounds whistle on Stephon Castle was INCORRECT. In addition, NBA writer Tomer Azarly received confirmation from the league that Josh Hart should have been whistled for a foul on the Castle drive. Down 105-104 with 1:02 remaining, the Spurs were already in the bonus and the correct call would have given Castle a golden opportunity to take the lead with two massive free throws.
