We've finished the V2 prototype of Prometheus, our autonomous drone. It flies, explores, and scans on its own - no GPS, no pilot, no signal required. The kind of environments where most drones become expensive paperweights are exactly where it's built to work: indoors, in the dark, close to obstacles, off the grid. We're now moving from prototype to real-world pilots, and we're looking for partners to test it with: fire brigades and disaster response, industrial inspection, construction, critical-infrastructure security. We're building this in Europe, for Europe. Autonomy at this level is strategically important - this technology will exist, and the question is who builds it and where. We'd rather it be us, here. It was traditionally used to catch wind and for passive cooling. Jars and basins of water could be placed in it to cause evaporative cooling. The origins of mashrabiya are uncertain; however, the earliest evidence of the mashrabiya, in its current form, dates to the 12th century in Baghdad during the Abbasid period. Mashrabiyas were mostly used in houses and palaces although sometimes in public buildings such as hospitals, inns, schools and government buildings. They tend to be associated with houses of the urban elite classes. They are found mostly in the Mashriq – i.e. the eastern part of the Arab world, but some types of similar windows are also found in the Maghreb (the western part of the Arab world). They are very prevalent in Iraq, Iran (where they may be known as Orsi windows in Kashan), the Levant, Hejaz and Egypt. We just installed 2x 12kW heaters of Bitcoin heating in Idaho! Pretty impressive project. One heater is fully dedicated to snow melting in winter and pool heating in summer. The snow melting slab is ~1500sqft. We started it yesterday, it was 34f during daytime and pretty cold at night. This morning the slab is at 36f and the snow has started melting.
