Love this!!! As someone who works in correctional facilities providing mental health services for ppl diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, the logic does so much harm! Also add “drapetomania” to the list!! “Are you unhappy being enslaved or are you just mentally ill??”

Wish people actually listened to us. It doesn't even matter how well spoken and well articulated and well thought out we are they always tune us out.

I have been telling people similar offline about these things. The constant use of "they/he/she was mentally ill" when something happens is hurting everyone. That isn't why they did what they did. Same with the 3 trans people, that isn't what caused it. At all.

Listen, if you support the disabled and mentally ill, don't try to make them defenseless against or targets of attacks. Also, be pro-gun control so everyone is less likely to be gunned down. It's not hard.

The right to bear arms. Unless you're part of a minority and the GOP says you shouldn't 🙄

I can't tell you how many arguments I got in about this, I'm half and half on 2nd amendment, I agree we need guns, but only those that are necessary, but I heard many bigots be like "people with mental disabilities shouldn't have guns" like people with lack of knowledge (1/2)
