Ignoring obvious fraud across our systems is disrespectful to American taxpayers. We should absolutely be identifying and removing people who are improperly receiving benefits from our social safety nets. This shouldn’t be controversial or partisan. No one is automatically entitled to taxpayer funded benefits. Republicans are right to push to root out waste, fraud, and abuse, and Democrats should be supporting that effort instead of resisting it.
