This is the set faceoff play Mike Johnson referenced in the third period. The inside winger skates under the pile and up the wall, similar to a classic over-under play. Typically, the next look would go to the high slot for the opposite winger On this attempt, Toews activates... show more

Giannis explains why the P&R can be very affective for the Miami Heat with him as the screener: “We have offensive principles. Guys have to look for space, go downhill, move when somebody drives, but at the end of the day when the game slows down, you have to set some P&Rs. I might not be open, but if there’s a tag man, the weak side is open. We have to trust Davion or Pelle they gonna make the right pass. If the tag man is there and I’m not free for the pocket pass then you got to read the weak side. If the guy on the weak side plays, they gotta play two. If you swing to the corner then the guy has an open shot.”

This is the rugby you love to see! From the scrum, throwing it side to side, taking it 50m over half a dozen phases... and over for the try!

G-D-B is a blocking rule for the play side of offensive lines from the NFL to youth teams. It is primarily used on Power, Counter, and Buck. The scheme also includes a kick-out block on the play side and a wrap from a backside player who picks up an LB.

COACHES: If you want to play aggressive with your D down the wall in the offensive zone, it's massively important that you have a great F3. Here is a great example from FLA - Ekblad gets down the wall tight and above the winger creating the turnover while Reinhart backs him up as F3 in the middle. Offensively in these situations, by being aggressive with your D you keep so many more pucks in the zone extending your ozone time. The D gapped hard on the opposing winger either takes away that option or creates a turnover if that winger is passed the puck. And often...it's F3 that becomes open after the turnover as you see with Reinhart on this play. Defensively, a great F3 limits the opposing team from getting odd-man rushes the other way. I love the aggressiveness this structure provides a team - it's a great identity tactic for teams that want to be hard to play against. Great job here by FLA!!

Spain: MILITARY TAKE OVER. This is madness. This is a take over from the inside out. It’s hard to believe a country would do this to itself. A purge is on the horizon, which side are you gonna be on. The buried or not buried side? No joke.

The Refs have obviously developed a weak whistle on the Spurs' side of the floor for tonight's game.

This is my vote for play of the game -just under 6 minutes in the third -only a four point game -don't get this, punting from inside of endzone Drive takes us into the 4th quarter, ending in a field goal with a 14 yard completion on 3rd and 19 to get into range

🚨 It would be a disgrace if Mancity wins this league, this same city that lost both legs to the worst Madrid side in 20 yrs. Worst Pep Mancity side aswell. ‼️ Same Arsenal that gave PL the 5th slot in the UCL. Best defence and most consistent team in the last 4 seasons

COACHES: Here's a power play tactic I'd love to see more teams employ. Carolina has a player below the goal line on the opposite side you usually see. This allows him the ability to skate toward the net with the puck on his forehand ready to make a play. In this clip he finds the bumper player for the goal. If there's no play he can skate it around the net to find the bumper or look for other options like a player coming down the dot line or a cross-crease pass to a player sliding down to the back door. Great job by Ehlers and something to think about for your PP set up!!
