Nobody uses Fahrenheit except for the US. The rest of the world uses Celsius.

15 C equals 59 F. Not 60. 25 C equals 77 C. Not 80.

you were approximately correct but exact value can be found using below formula:

Good trick but an approximation. 100F is not 35C but almost 38C

No just stop been handicaps and use Celsius 🤣

People dont understand it… its not exact, sure… but does the job calculating by head!! Go do that with the exact formula and tell the experience..

@Artofphysique_ F°x 1.8+ 32= C°, Gets you there faster and easier.

Who actually measures in Fahrenheit 🤣

WRONG calculation. (x°F − 32) × 5/9 = y°C

People replying with the "real" formula using 5/9 are not being helpful. The exact decimal value of 0.5555555555555555555555555555555 should be used if you want to show off how smart you are. Everyone else can use the approximation shown to get a quick conversion in your head.

100 °F = 37,78 °C

This is a fine, “do it in your head”, approximation.

Some easy values to remember 61°F=16°C 82°F=28°C Just swap the digits, no sums needed! And a final, less useful one, -42°F=-42°C...

@GLPF84 The exact result would come by subtracting 32 instead of 30 and dividing by 1.8 instead of 2, but this is a good approximation technique.

Why are we still converting? Jesus Christ. Just grow up. The whole fucking world beside the US uses the metric system. It's so easy even Bubba from Arkansas can use it. Everything is divisible by 10. Even your military uses it exclusivly. 0°C water freezes. 100°C water boils. Wow. ROCKET SCIENCE I TELL YOU! First quarter of the 21st century and we're still fucking around with different scales of measurement. SMFH.

This is wrong. Except the first one which is the nearest. degree F is 15.55 degree C. 80 degree F is 26.66 Degree Calculation is C=(F-32)*5/9 or F=(C*9/5)+32

@SimonVelocity The second and third examples are wrong. Quit spreading fake information!

Back in the 80's the rule of thumb was just double the C and add 30 - near enough for approximations in the UK when speaking about weather which rarely went that high.

learnt something new today! however only for everyday reasonable common temperatures. be careful for values above 100 F and below 0 F.

I feel like it would be easier to just remember 9f = 5c and 18 f = 10 c and just know 0 c = 32f Just add 18 everytime you want to get to 10c + so 50 = 10 68 = 20 86 = 30 104 = 40 etc

Who the heck uses something like Fahrenheit or other completely disabled values?! Fahrenheit is more of a historical exception than a technically optimal solution 🤣🤣🤣

As a UK citizen who has grown up with Celsius, all I do to convert it into Fahrenheit is double the number and add 20, so 23 Celsius would be: 23 x 2 = 46 + 20 = 66 Fahrenheit.
