How do you come up with so many ideas on the spot? They are all so different it's wild! ~

Sometimes it's just starting with shapes or colors and making associations, and sometimes it's playing with certain styles of lighting, perspectives, etc It's a bit easier to explain on a case by case basis since each has a different starting point.

Desperately trying to learn how to thumbnail, this is giving me an idea as to how it works, thanks !

No problem! You can thumbnail for all sorts of reasons, but these were just idea sketches to generate different ideas/moods. People often refer to thumbnailing as a way to explore different compositions for a single idea, which these are not, since each is it's own idea.

this is so cool! what's your process like? do you have refs on another screen, do you just go with whatever you feel like, do you have specific moods you work towards,~~???? I wanna know!! :3

Thanks! I typically don't have much of an idea going into them. So I typically hold off on references until after the thumbnail stage, but if i have a specific theme in mind I might. Sometimes I start with a mood in mind, sometimes not.
