The funny thing is, people are seeing wealth but taking it fr granted due to ignorance. Nicholas has been dropping steady interesting hints about pi since we started mining but people don't really understand. In the future, those with pi apps would be respected.

Malawi is one of the most poorest countries in the world, yet the Malawian President, Lazarus Chakwera, bussed thousands of people, paid them K2,000 each, and gave each one of them a T-shirt when he returned from attending the United Nations General Assembly in exchange for these people marching shouting his name on the road as he drove from the airport. What is this nonsense, Africans? You see, as long as Africans continue with this kind of silliness, Africa is going nowhere and few people will take it seriously. This is why the rest of the progressive world laughs at us courtesy of people like President Chakwera. The biggest economy in Africa is South Africa, have you ever seen President Cyril Ramaphosa doing such comical things? He simply goes to the airport, boards his plane quietly, and when he comes back, there is no fanfare, he just returns and goes home. What Chakwera is doing is stuff that happens with unsophisticated and crude dictators like Mnangagwa not someone who came into power on a change ticket. This is what tinpot dictators like Mobutu Sese Seko used to do 50 years ago. Do you understand why the world thinks of us as uncivilised, it is because of such comical leaders in our midst? People gather in their thousands each time the president leaves or returns to the country, this is the image we are selling to the rest of the world. It is so embarrassing and demeans us as Africans because it shows that all these people are unemployed, they have no jobs to go to. We can surely do better than this embarrassing stuff! We want to be able to sit on the world’s top table, but how can we when we are doing foolish stuff like this! Malawi’s GDP is only US$13.4 billion and its GDP per capita is only US$480, it is depressingly poor yet Chakwera is doing this kindergarten stuff? Sad! When you look at world bank data, Malawi’s economy has at worst shrunk since Chakwera became President or at best it has not grown at all. Shouldn’t he be focused on this serious issue instead of these silly parades?

What Chakwera is doing is stuff that happens with unsophisticated and crude dictators like Mnangagwa not someone who came into power on a change ticket. This is what tinpot dictators like Mobutu Sese Seko used to do 50 years ago. Do you understand why the world thinks of us as uncivilised, it is because of such comical leaders in our midst? People gather in their thousands each time the president leaves or returns to the country, this is the image we are selling to the rest of the world. It is so embarrassing and demeans us as Africans because it shows that all these people are unemployed, they have no jobs to go to. We can surely do better than this embarrassing stuff! We want to be able to sit on the world’s top table, but how can we when we are doing foolish stuff like this! Malawi’s GDP is only US$13.4 billion and its GDP per capita is only US$480, it is depressingly poor yet Chakwera is doing this kindergarten stuff? Sad! When you look at world bank data, Malawi’s economy has at worst shrunk since Chakwera became President or at best it has not grown at all. Shouldn’t he be focused on this serious issue instead of these silly parades?

Then we go to the stadiums and everyone says “let this be the last time,” we all hold a minute of silence, and then it happens again—why? We have experienced this many times in recent years. A mother waits at home for her child to return, and he never comes back. A mother loses her child because he simply went to do this. Until when will it be a problem what jersey someone wears, which team someone supports, where someone can walk, and what they are allowed to say? We live in the most beautiful country in the world. All of us have a responsibility, each from our own position, to protect sport. Sport is for these children you see here. It is meant to unite people, to fill stadiums and arenas so that we can all enjoy ourselves. The reality is that one team will win and another will lose. One year someone will be doing well, the next year they may not be. Not everyone can win. But the issue is not victory or defeat—the issue is understanding how long young people will continue to lose their lives in the name of the team they support. I don’t know who needs to intervene. I don’t know what needs to be done. I am not the person responsible. I simply felt that I had to say this because we truly play basketball for the people. We want people in the arenas, we want them full—fans of our team and of the others as well. But it is sad and unfair, and everyone needs to reflect on their responsibilities. How much longer? We are in 2026, and this has been happening for 40 years, from what I have read and what I know. At some point, all of this must stop.
