This is the WORST non-overturned call I have literally EVER seen. Alex Bregman was hit in the elbow. They originally said it hit his bat. Went to replay. And STILL said it hit his bat.

That's not even the Astros worst non-overturn in recent memory. Altuve play at the plate in Boston in 2018. Simply egregious.

I think you are missing them say “call on the field stands” which means they couldn’t see enough evidence the ball actually hit Bregman. (Is close) Therefore it returns to the call that was made before. Be different if they said “confirmed”

I’m not missing anything. They missed the call. I can confirm the ball did not hit the bat. It’s obvious. And it’s really not close. And as for the HBP, it clearly hits him and changes direction.

Was watching it live. That was absolutely disgusting

Slight correction here Ben. They said the called "stands" which means they couldn't confirm anything but the original call, which was foul ball. Still one of the worst ones I have seen. NY vs Houston is real.

@MLBReplays there’s no way you can say that’s a foul ball. You could maybe argue he swung, but that’s not reviewable, and that wasn’t the call on the field. The ball very clearly does not hit the bat. It’s a level of incompetence idt I’ve ever seen in professional sports
