I never go back and watch the concert videos or fireworks I recorded on my phone, so now I stop recording them.

Honestly, based.

I prefer enjoy the moment too, but sometime i regret that i don't have any documentation

Enjoy the moment, then ask them to airdrop the video to you! Lol

I’ve learned to snap one quick flick for posterity, and enjoy the rest of the thing without the phone. It’s a solid compromise that allows me be in the moments, but still have something saved.

@BabesByNature I recorded with my phone below my eyes so I can live in the moment.

Ngl I record a few minutes of everything I like for my future self ! I forgot so much of the moments I lived through but looking at a picture or video, actually takes me back

Actually I record video to watch their reaction

and the two people look over, and see a girl with a tripod filming herself, film the fireworks, and then smirking to herself... much better lmao

Reminds me of this:

gif of the day

Been doing that a lot lately. Just live the moment 🫶🫶

your favorite daydream 😇

So sad and I don’t get it You could just get a 20 dollar tripod set it up to record then just enjoy the show, if you really need the video or just enjoy the moment & trust ur brain to remember the best moments

While I appreciate the sentiment... She had someone film her filming the fireworks in order to prove that you shouldn't film fireworks for views... and then she got a shit ton of views for it. 😆

If I wasn’t shooting this videos last night the world would have never seen my friends dog run after the fireworks!!

😅😅😭😭🤳🤳

She realized that she just had to enjoy the moment

This works best when the fireworks are unscheduled

Somewhere a brand is calling ankara "boho chic" with a straight face

People virtue signal over the dumbest shit

A video about people on their iPhones taking videos not being present… most likely filmed on an iPhone.

Fact it is, people stopped enjoying real moments, instead they started recording

I would record maybe 10 seconds and/or snap some pictures. But would enjoy watching mostly. It's nice to have memories like this to look back on. But not record every second of it.

Last time we went to Disney and stayed for fireworks, we got caught behind a dad who had his daughter on his shoulders. That doesn't bother me, she's a kid, let her have the moment. What bothered me was when he gave the daughter his phone to start recording...

Reality: They made the video, never watched it again and deleted it a few years later.

Better immerse yourself in the atmosphere in front of you.

The irony is that this skit was shot on a device ... The real ones living in the moment do it in private. 🤣

I hope people start to realize this more and more. A friend of mine tried do discourage the use of smartphones during his wedding, to no avail.

People do whatever they like, filming or not, too much comparing and misleading, what makes filming not living in the present? You living in the present every single second even while you reading this post

just live in moments not in imagination
