Easing down shouldn’t be a thing. EVER People bet on lengths bets etc amount of people losing money because of jockeys easing horses down. They should be getting the best track time possible. Not trying to look good.

Hard saying no pay for someone for certain amount of time. But I do believe if he won there would be nothing said about it they’d say won eased down and praise the ride. Needs to be clear in the rules ride untill the line. Or a week ban. I dunno.

Not remotely defending this, but what about jockeys like Skelton who try and come from behind to try and win by the minimum distance and end up losing? Surely that’s the same offence.

It’s a very tough spot, because if the you win the race it looks great but I feel Skelton just travels on the bridle in this instance he is pulling the horse up before the line(slowing it down)

Yes, I know winning snugly looks great but sitting still and out of your ground and then throwing the kitchen sink at one that doesn’t pick up looks pretty bad.

28 days is enough with a warning for the future of a much longer ban.

Said it many times it needs a set time scale 3 months and NO appeals granted, the amount of connections lost would go along way to stopping.
