I've spent years in jails. This happens all the time in California. I've seen so many mental guys go down without understanding any of it. Cali uses the jail as a mental hospital. At least 30% of inmates are mentally disabled.

I have a high care needs son. Limited verbally, limited socially, he is a child in a mans body. He will agree to incorrect things, he just wants out. He doesn't understand. He will smile and nod especially if you come at him with a friendly tone. If this is real it's disgusting!

This happened because our CJS has become so punitive. Even people obviously mentally incapacitated have been put to death w/o them even being aware of why. It is absolutely cruel and unusual punishment. It's really sick actually.

The state will throw a confused, childlike woman in a cell for nearly two months over a few hundred dollars in merchandise, but actual predators and violent offenders get released the same day. The priorities are completely inverted and nobody in that courtroom gave a fuck.
