These need to be placed every few miles in every state. We share this world with animals. Keyword being share.

This was built in 2018 and only cost $5 million. Utah has 50 of them now either built or being built.

These cut collisions 66 to 77% and the Utah one returns over $15M, double what it cost. 100% of moose that approached used it. It saves animals, drivers (200 deaths a year), and tax dollars in one structure.

Nice touch adding the rocks so smaller animals can move across strategically without getting picked off by predators.

I wish we had more of them. It grieves me to see a dead bear or other wildlife lying next to the interstate.

I feel so so happy for them. But they should have made it a little bit with some shrubs . Most animals don’t like to be see. In the open. They like to move under some cover and they can still put their cameras.

Did it cost a billion. Like the one in California? (that's not finished yet)

I would really love to see more of these, I pass by maybe a dozen roadkill daily

I drove 7000 miles the last 5 weeks. It breaks my heart to see animals trying to cross and confused often times you’ll see one animal and their family member also got hit sometimes it’s a baby animal.

I think more animals would use it if there was more tree/shrub/plant cover. Animals don't like being too exposed/vulnerable when they are moving about.

These wildlife overpasses are such an easy win win. They allow nature to adapt and learn to safely use the overpass while cutting down on cars hitting wildlife and accidents. If you don’t want to worry about hitting a deer doing 70 on the interstate, give them a place to cross.

Great. We have 5,600 of them in Poland.

fewer collisions = fewer damages = lower insurance for everyone; not to mention saving animals lives sometimes investing in preventative action goes so much further!

How long until predators evolve to camp these overpasses for easy meals? It’d be like those videos of zebra having to cross through the only shallow point in the river, and like a hundred crocs are just sitting there waiting for an easy meal.

That's terrific, I hate seeing wildlife hit by cars, a lot get hit because truck haulers can't brake fast enough.

All states should do this, I'm sick of innocent animals being killed on I-95 east coast... we need fences, walk ways.... enough money going to illegals, and you know what I mean...

I love it, at the right price. I regularly have wounded animals in my yard that have been hit crossing the road- it’s always a broken back leg/hip.

This is new and bleak compared to the grown in overpasses in Banff National Park.

If you’re a predator, do you just sit and wait right outside one end?

The world's first wildlife crossings over highways were built in France during the 1950s The Netherlands took it to the next level in 1988, opening various crossings over their highways. A perfect mix of infrastructure and nature conservation! #WildlifeCrossing
