I made a couple of these rocket stoves, I even made a double burner attachable stainless flat plate cook top.

I have one. Locally made in a forge. It's seen me through a number of black outs. It boils water in minutes, cooks meals just like a conventional stove. I found these guys in the UK for a friend who wants one. Realy well made kit.

Additional inventory... a fire filter and a way to lower the heat when necessary.

In had to look, and yes, they are made in China and they're dirt cheap

I doubt that, at such extremely high temperatures, that tube wouldn't melt like candle wax.

Insulating the raising fire chamber will significantly improve heat and combustion efficiency. This is essentially a rocket heater with a square tube.
