BBC done the same with Dateline London scrapped it because Journalist across the World sitting discussing World issues unscripted and the BBC couldn't accept the free rein incase some criticized Israel, which some did, BBC cover for Israel in headlines

I didn’t think it was possible for me to like or respect Stephen Sackur more than I already did. Sure I won’t be alone in throwing my support behind whatever he does next.

Perhaps Sackur already knew it was on the cards and so used his last shows to do some real journalism. Hard Talk was the more intellectual wing of the BBC 'News' propaganda network... the same Western deluded narrative, only dressed up in faux intellect and a posh accent.
