🚨🇸🇩 This is what a siege looks like right before a genocide. Sudan's next one may be starting now. The Rapid Support Forces are closing in on El Obeid from the north and west. Drones already hit 5 oil tank farms. The U.S. is warning that "mass atrocities" could...

El-Fasher Falls as RSF Siege Conducts Mass Killings and Starvation El-Fasher, once the vibrant capital of North Darfur, has fallen to Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF), plunging the city into one of the most catastrophic chapters of the country’s war. After a 500-day siege that strangled food, water, and medical supplies, RSF fighters stormed the city, torching neighbourhoods, shelling hospitals, and carrying out execution-style killings. More than 2,000 civilians were reportedly slaughtered in just 48 hours, with bodies left in the streets and homes. Footage emerging from the region shows burned districts and desperate families fleeing under fire. Over 150,000 people have been killed across Sudan since the conflict erupted, and more than 12 million have been displaced. Yet, global attention remains shockingly muted as a humanitarian catastrophe unfolds in real time. With El-Fasher now entirely cut off, hundreds of thousands of civilians face starvation, disease, and unrelenting violence. Aid agencies warn that the city’s fall could accelerate a genocide if humanitarian corridors are not opened immediately. Witnesses describe widespread sexual violence, mass executions, and the deliberate targeting of families attempting to escape. Despite the United Nations calling this a “terrible escalation,” diplomatic urgency remains absent and media coverage sparse. Sudan’s war has slipped into silence, but the stakes could not be higher; every day without international action means more deaths, more families broken, and another crisis the world failed to stop.

🇸🇩🧵We’re kicking off a detailed thread to help you catch up on the catastrophic violence and humanitarian crisis unfolding in Sudan. If you haven’t been following closely, this will give you the essential context. ➤ Up to 400,000 people have been killed since the civil war broke out in April 2023, including an estimated 60,000 in El Fasher in the Darfur region, in just three weeks after its fall in late October 2025. (Yale Humanitarian Research Lab) ➤ Right now, about 21 million people in Sudan face acute hunger, with roughly 375,000 at famine levels, with some 13 million people displaced. (IPC) ➤ The United States plays a key role. It has enormous leverage over the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which is the chief external backer of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)—one of the two main warring parties in Sudan. ➤ But experts and rights groups note the Trump administration is not using that leverage at all. In recent State Department briefings, Sec. Rubio and senior Africa officials have refused to even utter the name of the country. By not pressuring the UAE to halt its support, the U.S. is allowing the mass slaughter – “very likely genocide” according to HRW – to continue unabated. Follow along as we break down the key aspects of the crisis and what’s driving the violence. 👇 —— 🔴 Video Clip: Nicole Widdersheim of Human Rights Watch, her voice audibly breaking, describes atrocities against civilians in Sudan that are now “on par, if possibly not worse,” than those during the Darfur genocide two decades ago. (U.S. House Committee on December 11, 2025)

UAE TRAINS COLOMBIAN MERCENARIES TO SUPPORT GENOCIDE IN SUDAN A damning Human Rights Watch report titled “From Bogotá to El Fasher” has exposed a highly organised pipeline funneling Colombian mercenaries into Sudan to support the g*nocidal Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. The investigation reveals that hundreds of Colombian mercenaries were hired by an Abu Dhabi-based security firm called Global Security Services Group. These soldiers were transited directly through the UAE, where they also received specialized military training, before being deployed to fight alongside the RSF. According to HRW, the Colombian mercenaries testified that their passports were not even checked when transiting through the UAE. Instead, they were taken straight to Emirati military bases to be trained by UAE nationals. Once shipped to Sudan, these mercenaries were reportedly used to train new RSF recruits, many of whom were young children. Mausi Segun, Director of HRW’s Africa Division, stated that this “adds to a growing body of evidence that the UAE provides military support to the RSF.” Worse still, these mercenaries were geolocated inside the city of Al-Fashir, where the RSF perpetrated mass atrocities that the UN declared bore “the hallmarks of g*nocide.” While the UAE continues to issue denials, the trail of complicity is undeniable. The security firm is Emirati, the mercenaries are Colombian, but the g*nocidal devastation belongs entirely to the people of Sudan.

The war in #Sudan 🇸🇩 is still going on, hundred thousands of soldiers are fighting on each side for the control of the country. The fightings are now occuring in the central part of the country, in the Kordofan region. On one side, the Rapid Support Forces, sponsored by the UAE are trying to consolidate their parralel government in Nyala with key victories. The RSF occupy western Sudan, especially the Darfour region. They are supported by the UAE, Chad, South Sudan, Libya, CAR and Wagner/AC 🇦🇪🇹🇩🇸🇸🇱🇾🇨🇫🇷🇺. Their leader is Mohammed Hamdan Dagolo 'Hemetti'. They are Bagarra arabs, opposing black communities in the west and the Nile river tribes controlling the government. They managed to occupy En Nahud, a key road hub in west Kordofan region, they are now trying to take Babanusa, they failed for now to destroy the encircled garrison. RSF forces resist SAF progress in the Kordofan regions, especially around El Obeid, key supply road and supply hub for the army. The main battle is happening in El Fasher, capital of Darfour region. There, SAF and Joint forces troops are encircled since 2 years. The SAF broke the 223rd RSF offensive on the 1.5 million inhabitant city (including at least 500 000 refugees). The city faces famine due to the encirclement. The SAF coalition is composed of the officially recognized "government" led by general Abdel Fattah al Burhan. They represent Nile Arabs, but are also allied to avrious tribes, including African tribes of North Darfur. They are supported by Egypt, Iran, Turkiye, Russia and Qatar 🇪🇬🇮🇷🇹🇷🇷🇺🇶🇦. The SAF managed to liberate all the southern part of the country (Singa, Wad Madani), the capital city Khartoum and its neighbouring twins of Bahri and Omdourman. Now, they want to destroy the RSF by pushing them out of Kordofan before attacking their base in Darfur region. Massive fightings are ongoing around El Obeid and in the south Darfur region. The battle for Kordofan is ongoing, it will decide wether the army is able to liberate and reunify the country or if the RSF militia will create a de facto arab state in the west of Sudan...
