@sagistarbb My least favorite demand is the social demand spoken silently as someone waits for you to respond in socially acceptable ways by laughing at a joke or saying hi back in a cheery manner or replying at all lol

@sagistarbb I have ADHD and I will say, there does come a point where if I feel like enough of a burden I need to accept that I am the problem and that the world isn't always going to bend around me.

@sagistarbb What's the purpose of this video? To illustrate you are a worthless partner? Why would she post this?

@sagistarbb @j4___k3 Ok but I’m confused about the word demand. The person in the video didn’t demand anything- so is the context like a demand of life?

@sagistarbb My demand avoidance is so bad that my boyfriend takes out my bins for me (he does not live here)

@sagistarbb Truly!! 😭😭

@sagistarbb

@sagistarbb As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD way before it was cool and before doctors started writing amphetamine scripts to everyone, that is called procrastination.

@sagistarbb Hmmmm… it still sounds like a recently invented term as either a euphemism for procrastination, or a way to explain irritability caused by the meds. Doesn’t matter, both can be solved by prescribing more meds.

@sagistarbb Both = avoidance behaviors but not inherently the same. Putting off taxes until the last minute = procrastination. Being asked/told to do something that perhaps you even planned to do causes a disruption to flow and adds transitions & communication to process = demand avoidance.

@sagistarbb It’s different from procrastination where eventually urgency can spark action. This feels like the pile of tasks keeps growing. The demand disruption can irritate, linger and further deregulate a persons if they can’t recognize it for what it is & redirect sooner than later.

@sagistarbb From my experience, this pre-exists treatment & is worsened when untreated. Treatment doesn’t necessarily mean medication, though it can help some, treatment can mean recognizing distinct symptoms & behaviors , why they are happening & intentionally working through them.

@sagistarbb So it sounds like we give it a name, other than procrastination, to identify the cause and mediate the solution. It still seems like there is tons of overlap, making it difficult to identify. One could argue a tax deadline is a demand.

@sagistarbb it's a joke until the non adhd partner is filling for divorce. everything about this condition is a joke. these types of people SHOULD NOT GET MARRIED!

@sagistarbb This is weaponized mental health. Idgaf, its not cute. Its infuriating.

@sagistarbb I’ll never understand folks who squirt soap from the bottle for EVERY SINGLE DISH. Soap the sponge…

@sagistarbb Man, once upon a time you could make a self deprecating joke without a five part written lecture that addressed every part of the subject that might offend others. Lol I mean I assume that this person & those who relate aren’t using it like “See? I don’t have to do it!”

@sagistarbb Stop calling being a piece of shit fancy names

@sagistarbb I did not know Sabrina Carpenter prayer candles even existed. 😥 (I don't know much.) But now I do. And must order one for every room. Because.

@sagistarbb Why would you ask your girlfriend to take the trash out

@sagistarbb This is called "being pathetic"

@sagistarbb He should have let her finish the dishes!

@sagistarbb lol

@sagistarbb she needs to step her game up i can do this without the boyfriend

@sagistarbb this is male fatigue...

@sagistarbb Thats just called fucking laziness.
