Bass: I just finished signing an executive directive that puts all city departments and leadership on notice to protect Angelenos—essentially from the federal government. We’re also filing a FOIA request because we want to know: Who are these masked men, and why are they masked in the first place? All of this needs to stop. Mayor Bass: Just finished working with our city attorney to file a lawsuit—because we have to stop this mess. The idea of having troops go through the park and disrupt a children’s summer camp, or drive through the streets and just pick people off—people don’t know if a kidnapping is happening or what. So our city attorney is leading the way. We are filing a lawsuit and calling for an injunction to stop this. We need to remember who we are as a country. I’m very clear about who we are as a city, and I’m clear about my job—which is to make sure this city is safe for all Angelenos, regardless of when you came here, what country you came from, or why. We’ve got to stop it. We’re going to stand strong, because this city is united. We are not divided, and we’re not going to let anybody divide us.

When you look at the numbers already right now, a majority of Los Angelenos are saying they want to fire Karen Bass. 50% of the voters that are up right now say they want somebody other than the incumbent to be the mayor.
