I've always had this question since I was a kid it's the same moon up there whether it's a full moon or a new moon why does the shadow of the Earth on the moon have an effect on the tides it's the same rock it's just a shadow supposedly

Can someone explain it then?? I live at the beach and the daily moon cycle absolutely coincides with the tide. I also don't understand how we can feel so crazy during Full moons. I'm a flat Earther.
