They actually vibrate their bodies and flap their wings to make their body temperature higher, so that they can heat those giant, tank-like hornets to deaf.

When bees gang up on a hornet to protect their hive, they form a "bee ball." They all surround the hornet and buzz like crazy, heating it up until it can’t survive. It’s like the bees give the hornet a group hug... but way more intense!

These killer hornets can have an army of 30 kill a whole 30,000 colony of honeybees. However the Japanese honeybees have learned a way to fight back and kill the scouts. They swarm them and cook them to death. A honeybee can withstand much hotter temps than hornets.
