How did astrophysicists get such wonderful results by simply considering the mass and gravity of trillions of stellar particles? How did they account for the countless unobservable planets and black holes in their models? As an engineer who has dealt with the Navier-Stokes equations, I wonder. But anyway, it is really beautiful.

What’s cool is that to galaxies we’re perceiving time as if we’re moving near the speed of light. It’s all relative.

Imagine an alien living from just evolving at the right time to discover they are being engulfed by another galaxy. How much time do they have left? Is this chaotic or relatively calm for this species? Do they have thousands of years or millions?
