A lobster roll without the lobster-roll price tag? I’m listening. Grilled shrimp, lump crab meat, celery for crunch, chives, lemon, mayo, mustard and a little hot sauce. Seafood Salad doesn’t need much more than that The knife matters. At least my friends and family think so whenever they try this at my house, Put it on the grill until the edges get crisp, pile it onto toasted focaccia with pistachio pesto, burrata, grilled onions, arugula and Calabrian chile oil. And PLEASE don’t ruin it at the finish line. A good serrated knife matters. I just filmed this outside in my backyard. What on earth is that? My rational mind is telling me it’s the light from a plane but shouldn’t it have the red and green lights too? Shrimp toast needed to be a sandwich... and this one is ridiculously perfect. My Shun Cutlery cleaver makes quick work of the shrimp without turning it to mush. The shrimp goes on Japanese milk bread, fried crisp. Toss on a fried egg with crispy lacy edges and some lemony cabbage slaw with Kewpie mayo. Crispy, juicy, rich, bright. This one is the real deal.
