Gotta love the gaslighting at the end: “you may think I’m being hard on you, but I’m NOT.” “I’ll tell you when you’re being manipulated, thank you very much.” We’re old enough to remember when the OG “complaint group” was told the prophetic history wasn’t foundational to IHOP

MB has always been a master of doublespeak, so he and his defenders can always point to one set of statements (IHOP isn’t based on the PH, anyone can leave, not claiming this is the last generation, etc) as if they cancelled out all the times he clearly said the exact opposite.

A comet nobody saw. A drought that never happened. A revival that never arrived. A brother who was never healed. A report that was never renounced. Prophets who were never holy. A church that was lied to. Subjective events that can never be verified. All interpreted by one man.

This is what the Gospel not being a primary focus looks like…

that's interesting, but what do you think of this?

How is this different from what Jesus said: “But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”” Luke 9:62 NASB You guys are ridiculous. There is a challenge to all leaders. This is staff meeting. Do you also believe that proverbs are manipulative when it condemns sleeping during harvest? “He who gathers in summer is a son who acts wisely, But he who sleeps in harvest is a son who acts shamefully.” Proverbs 10:5 NASB1995

Wow. I can’t believe people sit through years of this tripe. “Don’t leave, or else!” 🙄

It's interesting to watch that. I've never had the faintest religious inclination, but can't help but wonder if I would've been sucked into the Borg if I had been exposed to shouty manipulative preaching from childhood, especially if everyone around me legitimised it. 🧐

Who’s the “current woman”, I wonder. Wonder what this guy’s side-piece count actually is, if he started in ‘83. If Bickle prophecies his wife dead hundreds of times, over decades, can we safely call him a “false prophet”, finally?

This is what twisting a person’s words looks like.

@starcazm I'm bound to the cross...
